Hello @MaLd0n

I need help with Big Sur installer. It cant see my internal hdd for me to install. I have put my hardware patched DSDT that you give for DSDT post request.

What can I do to make my internal hdd can be seen by Big Sur installer?

Thanks.

my hardware:
intel core i7 7820x
msi x299 ack gaming mb
32 gb corsair ddr4 ram
radeon vii
im on open core 0.6.1

Hello @Mald0n, I've tried with Beta 1,2,3,4 and 5. Installer of Big Sur always crashes at a certain point, when trying to install from USB. Obviously using latest OC 0.6.1 and latest kexts, maybe you could advise me? I am able to install with the restore method or VMWare method, and then boot up, but cannot finish native installation from USB.

Thank you friend, Paul from South Africa.

I can upload my EFI folder if need be. My specs are Asus Z97k, i5-4460, RX560 4gb graphics, 1tb Intel 660p NVME. Runs Catalina and older perfectly.

OC or Clover? If you use OC then you should follow dortania guide and determine best setting for your machine

Yeah what happens is the installer crashes before finishing then booting from the created install partition will almost boot up then crash, with a brief message which flashes on the screen momentarily, I will try to capture it.

Something to do with SMC is all I can tell.

I've tried various things, using Fakesmc kext, trying different boot arguments. But I think a lot of people have this issue currently.

I see it caused by EC problem. You done wrong EC patched. Replace the PNPxxxx with your own controller in the SSDT-EC.aml and put the EC0 to EC patch. Or you could attach your configuration file down here, but I will take a look asap.

Did you apply boot-arg debug=0×100? And keepsyms=?
