I have one more issue that when I shutdown my laptop, the screen is off but fans still spin, usb ports are still powered.

I’ve tried using FixShutdown-USB-SSDT method but nothing’s changed.

I have a few questions to you:

1)I cant Rename the Hard Drive, its labeled as “Test” i’ve tried to done it, by Get Info, but it says that I dont have privileges to do that.

Is there a way to do that?.

 

2) I noticed that the settings in System Preferences/Date and Hour/Menu Bar clock, are locked.

Is this a kínd of bug? Or there Is a way to solve it?

Same EFI working fine on Catalina. Weird.

i've successfully installed from preinstalled file, thanks so much for your hard works. May i ask you if there is a way to clone working BigSur from my external HDD to a specific partition in internal SSD.

Dell Inspiron 15 5537

Intel Core i5 4th Gen

Intel HD 4400

So I have used your image but did different process, I configured Opencore first, updated and edited config.plist, and then i pulled out the ssd from laptop, connected to another laptop with usb to sata cable, and then restored the dmg image with transmac, after completing, I restored EFI to SSD, inserted ssd to laptop again, and boom, I booted to macOS Big Sur! All thanks to you man! Cheers

 

Unimportant: Although I cant change drive name, its Test, i did change username tho, also, i cant access recovery, probably because I used transmac? maybe, idc, but i could use SIP disable option if I could access recovery, anyways, working nice!

Would appriciate some help see zipped screenshots of process. What is not clear in this guide:-

what do you do if you have an NVMe drive and external ssd, how do you create an efi when the system naturally boots from the NVME there is no disable in the Bios?

from my reading of the guide you need an efi for both the external ssd and the existing NVME, currently my NVME has Catalina installed on it, do I need to modify the Catalina boot EFI?

`or do I need to remove the NVME in order to use the external ssd with its own EFI

I have tried to change the Crs from 67 but cannot I keep getting error in xcode (on the catalina EFI)

I note the changes needed in the config fiile, but what impact does that have on booting Catalina on the NVME 

when I reboot the system I can see the restore point but the area I get stuck is the EFI are there 2 one for each drive? do you disable by remove NVME in order to complete the process (restore)

I am trying to find out for BigSur what to change regarding sip  and do I have to remove the nvme drive in order to use the ssd bigSur or can it share the same EFI

change smbios for one with support

yes. work for all with support. u just need a good opencore folder for ur hardware

I want to ask something. Is it possible to restore the .dmg to the main disk?

What i mean is. I have the .dmg and the system has Catalina installed on which i want to install Big Sur.

I also have Catalina USB where i can boot into the recovery, locate the .dmg file and restore it to the main Catalina drive. 

Is that possible?

I also problem with my Laptop. With one EFI, the Audio and WiFi doesn't works. Can you check?
