Lion 10.7 Bootable DVD not working

Getting error as


The current issue is the dvd gets stuck on apple logo and when i use -v it goes to the error of


/var/db/bootcache.playlist : 2 no such file or directory

nstat_lookup_entry failed: 2

nstat_lookup_entry failed: 2

Previous Shutdown cause : 3

ACPI_SMC_Platformplugin: Startforreal - WaitForService (ResourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out

DSMOS has arrived


The machine is Dell Vostro laptop with i5 and 4 GB ram

I have enabled default settings in bios and ensured SCSI is set to AHCI mode


Please share what other steps could i try

I think it's a video issue, at the point is stops, it should enter graphics mode.


Try to use -x (safe boot), if it doesn't work I guess you will have to use other installation method which lets you remove the graphics kexts, such as USB http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=134

I have tried to use -x though didn't worked, I will give the DVD a try on another machine to see if that works. Any other pointers i should take care of

Try on another machine, if you manage to install, restore the DVD to a pen drive, install Chameleon to it and remove Intel HD kexts (AppleIntelHD* and AppleIntelSNB*) from /S/L/E.

I have a lion (GM) DVD that can install on ASUS P5G41T-M-LX :P .

I try it on P8H61M LX PLUS (bios 0601) but no luck :oops: .

I had one time OK on P8H61M one but stuck after patch VGA and LAN.

I can not get it work again :!: .
