Hi all,

I'm going to attempt to create a DSDT for my Asus board (P8H67-I Deluxe Rev3).

I have the necessary tools and there is a patch for this board in the patch directory but it doesn't compile cleanly, possibly due to a different bios version but I'm not 100% sure of that.

So my question is this : is there a recommended list of the individual parts that need to be modified ?

What Im talking about here is the likes of DTGP Method, HDEF etc etc. I have a list for Gigabyte boards, but not sure about Asus.

I'd really like to get a list of the minimal edits required to successfully create a working DSDT.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

It starts with 31 errors initially, but after selecting the Fix Errors option it comes down to 2 which are both :

Min/Max/Length/Gran are all zero, but no resource tag

Thats using the patch posted here in the patch directory, but im not actually sure it is correct anyway, hence wanting to produce my own. I did find a precompiled version of it here in the forums too but the sound is missing (ALC892).

Plus i cant see any patches for the 892 codec either.

That is the one I am running.

What I need to do is get a recommended list of the edits if possible. That way I wont have to rely on other people to do it in future and be able to compile a fresh DSDT whenever a new bios is released for example.

Follow the link in my first reply, it should give you an idea of which patches you may need.

To fix "Min/Max/Length/Gran are all zero, but no resource tag" just set lenght as 1 (should be fixed automatically by the "fix errors" button).

Yep, Ive been looking at that post you refer to with some interest.

Any idea about a patch for the 892 audio ? There are a few audio patches for download on here but nothing I can see for the 892...
