ragimund Posted November 11, 2019 Author Posted November 11, 2019 Hi MaLd0n, I looked your [Guide] Easy Audio Solution with AppleALC. Downloaded AppleALC/releases and looked ALC262 and Layers: Tried 7,11,12,13,28 - no help. Can see no sound device in System Preferences Downloaded DPCI Manager => it shows only Audio device and Sub device numbers (two left columns only), no Codec ID or Codec name ?? Manufactor page: Integrated Intel/Realtek HD ALC262 Audio" Downloaded Run_Me_app: Uploaded "Send me...zip" file to tiny upload.com http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=10457140304232689998 Last step on your guide: "Chipset 5, 6 and x79, create HDEF device with this patch, use MaciASL" goes over my head, Noob. What is MaciASL and where I can get it ? Guide how to use ?

ragimund Posted November 11, 2019 Author Posted November 11, 2019 Hi, Thx MaLd0n. 1# So I should put your DSDT.aml file into EFI/Clover/"SOMEWHERE" ?? and do something (commands or run app ?). 2# I also found some guide how to Extract DSDT (Clover & F4) and then I disassemble ACPI files. Managed to do that (somehow ). Took copy+paste from Terminal prompt and dropped it to Texteditor - uploaded it to Tiny. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=53444634898874948571 3# I also zipped the current EFI with those "disassemble ACPI files". Haven't done any "patching" yet - don't know what to patch or how... http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=51376704907861142574 4# I will now download your DSDT.aml file and wait more instructions for Noob what to do with it ? Once again, Big Thanks for Your help for Noob !!

ragimund Posted November 12, 2019 Author Posted November 12, 2019 MaLd0n, you are The Man ! Copied DSDT to clover/acpi/pacthed and left the Audio inject value to last tested one - 28. Rebooted. Audio Working !! Headphones (front) - OK Line out (back) - OK Bluetooth speaker tower - OK AirPlay to my Home Theater - OK I still see some errors in Boot verbose list - they go too fast to read, at least there was something about wrong chip or "something" error. I will now try if the 2019 - 001 update for Mojave downloads and installs successfully... Meaning no notification about the same update again and again... If not, I will take again this Run_Me and send you the zip for analysing.... Thanks again for your valuable help, would not have managed with my first Hackintosh without you, you are The Guru ! Added in 18 minutes 25 seconds: Ok, Mojave Security Update 2019-001 10.14.6 1,55GB installation fail. -Downloads Ok, Starts to Install - Apple logo, text "Installing Software Update", progress bar going about 1/10 and suddenly Reboots (did not finish the progress bar to the end). -Logging in, Software Update window opens in UI - notification about same Update Added link to Tinyload, latest RunMe-SendMe.zip http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=35985604023191682782 Is this enough or do you need the Boot Verbose list (errors seen)? How can I take that to Log file ?

ragimund Posted November 13, 2019 Author Posted November 13, 2019 MaLd0n, Thx again! You were faster than me, new DSDT again. -Removed your previous DSDT file from /patched -Replaced by your latest DSDT -Removed usbinjectall.kext from /other -Rebooted, Logged In, Tried Mojave Update... -Update starts, can see Apple logo, text "Installing Software Update", progress bar doesn't seem to go much further than with previous DSDT (maybe 1-2mm ?). -Stays a little bit longer in this view before rebooting than with the previous version + when moving mouse, pointer was visible in window. -Booted automatically, Logged In manually, Software Update window opens in UI - notification about same Update. -Update failed... ragimund Posted November 14, 2019 Author Posted November 14, 2019 Sorry MaLd0n, I tried to follow your guide https://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=14040 But I did NOT see anything related to XHC/RHUB on my DSDT.aml like in Guide and Pictures ?? I tried with AND without that usbinjectall.kext - same thing, NO XHC / RHUB visible anywhere. I used MaciASL 1.5.6 and Hackingtools 2.8.6 (0286). Hackingtools shows something, but all USB2's and speed "Unknown" (took a picture, will attach via tiny upload). The HP Z820 documentation says: Front: 1 x USB2.0 2 x USB3.0 Back: 4 x USB2.0 2 x USB3.0 Internal: 6 x USB2.0 Headers Have no idea how to find them AND patch them. Also, whitch port is 2.0 or 3.0 - how to identify from "code" ? Added in 9 minutes 20 seconds: Screenshot about USB's http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=78189660756818883200

ragimund Posted November 14, 2019 Author Posted November 14, 2019 MaLd0n, I opened DSDT.aml with MaciASL app, searched EH0 and found EH01 and EH02, plenty of USB's. They are all configured as ON, USB2 ( = 0xFF, Zero). I have no idea how to figure out which one is USB2 and which one is USB3, and which ones are Internal. The amount of USB's (in screenshot, all usb2) is not same as physical connectors in Z820. USB2.0: Front 1 Back 4 USB3.0: Front 2 Back 2 Internal: 6 x USB2.0 I'm confused and don't understand. USB2 should be Zero, and USB3 0x03. Am I missing some "USB3 Controller/Hub" ?? And now my Wireless (M$ Keyboard + Mouse) is in Front USB2.0 and mouse moves in big jumps (hard to operate). Something weird in USB's. Z820 worked perfectly in Windows 10 - but I don't want windows

ragimund Posted November 15, 2019 Author Posted November 15, 2019 MaLd0n, so current configuration is Ok as All USB's are marked as Zero (=usb2.0). But the amount of "usb devices" doesn't match the amount of physical connectors ? And are my USB3.0 port's now working as USB2.0 and Lower Speed ? And this USB thing is now causing this Mojave Update failure ?

ragimund Posted November 15, 2019 Author Posted November 15, 2019 MaLd0n, Yes, HP Z820 USB3 manufacturer is Texas, found "Texas Instruments USB 3.0 xHCI Controller" mention. Newer HP Z840 uses Intel So it's Ok that all are configured as Zero (USB2.0) and I need a some "usb.kext" to get them work Ok and then Apple Mojave Update will go Ok ? But is it Ok to use that "usbinjectall.kext" or not ? Have tried with it and without it, no change. Only problem that I have anymore is... -USB2.0/3.0 working "somehow", but some weird behavior -Mojave Update 2019-001 doesn't install Ok
