icecold Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 For years Sierra worked like a cinch, after installing it from a Vanilla Olarila 10.12.6 USB stick ... but today, it started refusing to boot all the sudden ... AppleKeyStore Errors make it went into kernel panic, but the problem is now worst, because even the USB Sierra installer is rebooting when I try to run it from Clover!!! I've used an old Yosemite stick in another hard drive and installed Yosemite, and it's working fine, but Sierra, for some reason REFUSES to boot ... I've tried everything, disabling hard drives, just booting without anything but the USB stick ... always the same problem and now even using just the USB stick to boot into Sierra, fails!!! with a reboot!!! My configuration, is an ASROCK H61M-VG3, the motherboard doesn't have any video, so I am using an ATI Radeon 6870HD, and 8Gb DD3 RAM ... recognized as 1600 by Apple but the UEFI recognizes it as 1333... 2.59 GHz Intel Core i5(Dual core CELERON) working fine until yesterday, the only kext, I installed was VOODOOHDA ... that's it ... but it worked fine with it for a week ... so it's weird it can be the culprit ...

icecold Posted September 19, 2019 Author Posted September 19, 2019 Thanks [ref]MaLd0n[/ref], !!! That and to successfully deselect the IGPU Monitor in the UEFI settings did the trick!!! Apparently that mode makes the system load the INTEL kexts and then it goes into PANIC!!! BTW I am configuring audio, Hope the injected patches work on ALC662 ... [/img]
icecold Posted September 19, 2019 Author Posted September 19, 2019 I have the ALC662, and I followed all the instructions, the only problem is I got a bunch of errors after compiling with the injected patch, is that normal?

icecold Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 Hi [ref]MaLd0n[/ref], Thank you for your files ... BTW I added your DSDT.aml to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched, and I opened the BOOT Options and is pointing to DSDT.aml ... Am I doing something wrong, where can I check logs to see if it's actually loading it? It seems not to ... I checked CLOVER logs and it seems to load the DSDT.aml 1:632 0:000 - [00]: (change EHC1 to EH01) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 1:632 0:000 - [01]: (change EHC2 to EH02) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 1:632 0:000 - [02]: (change EUSB to EH01) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 1:632 0:000 - [03]: (change USBE to EH02) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 1:632 0:000 - [04]: (change AZAL to HDEF) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 1:632 0:000 - [05]: (change HDAS to HDEF) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 1:632 0:000 - [06]: (change XHCI to XHC) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 1:632 0:000 - [07]: (change XHC1 to XHC) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 1:632 0:000 - [08]: (change HECI to IMEI) lenToFind: 4, lenToReplace: 4 The thing is nothing is recognized as a sound device in Sound Settings ... the list is empty ...

icecold Posted September 28, 2019 Author Posted September 28, 2019 Exactly what I did and didn't work ... 1. It's on the boot screen, under ACPI Patching(DSDT.aml) 2. The file path is EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched 3. In Clover Configurator under ACPI it shows the name ... DSDT.aml No devices are recognized ...

icecold Posted September 28, 2019 Author Posted September 28, 2019 My EFI folder is the one you sent ... CLOVER.SERIES.CHIPSET.zip
icecold Posted September 28, 2019 Author Posted September 28, 2019 I just tried with all layouts that are related to the ALC662, and I mounted EFI and copied both CLOVER and BOOT there, so now my mounted EFI has all the kexts, including AppleALC 1.4.1 and Lilo 1.3.8. Besides the DSDT.aml and I tested all layouts in Clover Configurator, and NOT a single one worked!!! As my AUDIO hardware is recognized by Hackintool under PCI as Intel 6 Series/C200, I was wondering if that could be a reason why it's not working ... DCPI Manager also recognizes it as an Intel 6 Series/C200 device 1C20 and under status it doesn't see it ... it just displays 2 network interfaces, the Realtek 8165E/8111E-VL and my Huawei LTE modem(I use to connect to my ISP). The Graphics Card also isn't there ... it's display under the PCI List, but not under the Status TAB. The PCI list also shows the HDMI audio device, on the Radeon 6870HD card, also not detected.
