If I find a MB that has a patch does it mean that all functionality works?

I am working on a build but want to use my old 775 socket CPU (e7300)...

I found that I can purchase a GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2P at a reasonable price AND there IS a patch in the patch DB. Should I be concerned? (My video card is a ATI 5770) and using on-board sound.

Alternatively I COULD also use another machine which is a MSI P55-GD80 MB with a i760 I also found a patch for this in the Patch DB.

Which is the most compatible based on the patch?

Gigabyte is the most used and that ain't for nothing

Closest to Mac's hardware.

All 3 DSDT's are made with AutoPatcher and is working 100%.
