jspec Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 1st off great disk. I am trying to install this on a dell d630. This gets me further then anything else I have downloaded but seems to lockup when osx goes to install the system to disc. It just says 20 minutes and then it freezes. Any suggestions?
Cassio Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Try to move or click the mouse, sometimes only the video freezes. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
jspec Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 actually it just sits until I move the mouse then it freezes. It says installing osx on disk hd1 and that is as far as it gets.

Cassio Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 If it's a dmg from App Store you should succeed building the DVD, but if it will work or not, depends on your hardware. You can download the resulting ISO, join Olarila.com/chat and type "? liondvd". -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
Extopia Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 This could work? and i just follow the steps and i get lion? Greetings, Extopia
Cassio Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Burn the iso to DVD and follow steps in post 2 http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=740#p7322 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

Cassio Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 No, I won't make a video. There are many guides and videos about installing Lion, if this isn't good enough for you, I'm sure you can find a better one. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

buoo Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Hi guys! I've problem when I copy the folder Packages to the folder System/Installation in the image, It tell me there is no free space. Could you help me please? Thanks
Cassio Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 If you are using 10.7.4 dmg it won't fit in a 4.7 GB DVD, unless you remove some packages. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
buoo Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Thanks for the reply! I'm using ML 10.8 I've tried making a 8GB dmg with disk utility, It seems to work but when I burn the dmg I get an error like this: "medium write error"
Cassio Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 If you want to make it bootable, it must be an iso with el torito boot (step 15 in first post). The iso will be like 5 GB. I believe "medium write error" is not related to this, though. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
Lord_Richard_2 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I get stuck at the pci configuration section. I have used the npci=0x2000 parameter but it still sticks. Why would this be? What would I have to do to get it to get past this?
Cassio Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Some cases need old IOPCIFamily http://netkas.org/?p=1053 Try this boot CD, burn to CD-RW, boot, once in boot menu, swap CD by Lion DVD, press F5 and boot DVD. Lord_Richard_2 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I tried hackboot, but it complained about missing kernel (when i selected swapped in lion dvd) and hfs signatures and came to a "press any key to continue option" then if i pressed a key it went to boot options menu. How would i replace that specified kext? Repack iso and reburn?
Cassio Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Did you press F5 after swapping discs? You can install it in Virtual Box, then copy the iso to a flash drive and make it bootable http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1279 This ML image can be copied to USB stick from Windows http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1627 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
Lord_Richard_2 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Hmm I guess f5 was necessary... It booted to the install program. What does f5 do anyways....
Cassio Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 F5 rescans DVD drive, used with boot CDs Try this boot CD, burn to CD-RW, boot, once in boot menu, swap CD by Lion DVD, press F5 and boot DVD. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
Lord_Richard_2 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Well my install seems frozen... No graphical animation on status bar, no mouse and it says 17 min remaining. I see slight hard drive activity but no disc drive reads.
