[ref]MaLd0n[/ref], [ref]erroruser[/ref], I have discovered something - the problem is that Mojave 10.14.3 boots but monitor shows no screen. I can login with teamviewer and see my screen with 1536 VRAM and even i can stream the screen to airplay device.

The problem is - monitor doesn show screen and connection type is displayport, which i don't have. physically. I think my display doesnt get detected.

Any suggestions ?

Many thanks in advance !

[ref]erroruser[/ref], NVidia 1050Ti will not work, but my integrated graphics card Intel HD Graphics 630 works in Mojave 10.14.3 and I boot with 1536 VRAM, but I can only see the screen if i login via TeamViewer with another PC or cast the screen via Anycast to my TV.

Everything works even my Bluetooth, except my integrated display i.e. monitor. Somehow signal gets redirected to DisplayPort, which i don't have and i cannot figure out how to redirect the signal to my laptop screen.

Any ideas ?

[ref]erroruser[/ref], my laptop is brand new, so i violate the guarantee if I open it to remove power cord from monitor.

Update: Everything except the display works on Mojave 10.14.3. Via TeamViewer I have cast the screen (internal display) to my TV and can see that after framebuffer patching I have now 1536 VRAM and Metal works, but black screen with backlight.

Interesting is that when i adjust brightness in Mojave , my backlit turns brighter or darker, but still black screen on laptop display, so Mojave detects the display but cannot print the screen on it.

Any suggestions ?

Hi, do you see your display in IORegistryExplorer ?

[ref]flex21[/ref], i dont recall exactly, but when i got home i will try edid injection to see if it will work. How do you get your edid code btw ?

Posted

and then how do you inject the code into clover ?

Added in 15 minutes 58 seconds:

[ref]flex21[/ref], how do you convert the hex EDID from MonInfo into clover readable EDID ?

Posted

[ref]flex21[/ref], for me edid doesnt work. Clover configurator pastes it into

Graphics

EDID

Custom

AP///////wAw5DMFAAAAAAAaAQSVIhN46qHFlFlXjycgUFQAAAAB

AQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBLjaAoHA4H0AwIDUAWMIQAAAaAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA/gBMRyBEaXNwbGF5CiAgAAAA/gBMUDE1

NldGNi1TUEszAL8=

Inject

This doesnt work - black screen

Then i copied the id-data and paste it into

Devices

Properties

PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x2,0)

AAPL00,override-no-connect

AP///////wAw5DMFAAAAAAAaAQSVIhN46qHFlFlXjycgUFQAAAAB

AQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBLjaAoHA4H0AwIDUAWMIQAAAaAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA/gBMRyBEaXNwbGF5CiAgAAAA/gBMUDE1

NldGNi1TUEszAL8=

Also black screen

You have

AAPL,ig-platform-id

AACbPg==

and

device-id

kT4AAA==

disable-external-gpu

AQAAAA==

in your

Devices

Properties

PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x2,0)

Maybe i should have some ig-platform-id and device id

Do you use hackintool for framebuffer patching ?

Posted

If you use this section:

Devices

Properties

PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x2,0)

Then, you should not use Inject Intel or Ig-platform-id, is not possible to use both.

Thanks & Regards

[ref]Allan[/ref],

this is my EDID data which I acquired under Windows 10

00 FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 30 E4 33 05 00 00 00 00

00 1A 01 04 95 22 13 78 EA A1 C5 94 59 57 8F 27

20 50 54 00 00 00 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01

01 01 01 01 01 01 2E 36 80 A0 70 38 1F 40 30 20

35 00 58 C2 10 00 00 1A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 FE 00 4C

47 20 44 69 73 70 6C 61 79 0A 20 20 00 00 00 FE

00 4C 50 31 35 36 57 46 36 2D 53 50 4B 33 00 BF

Then converted to Base64 looks so :

AP///////wAw5DMFAAAAAAAaAQSVIhN46qHFlFlXjycgUFQAAAAB

AQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBLjaAoHA4H0AwIDUAWMIQAAAaAAAAAAAA

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA/gBMRyBEaXNwbGF5CiAgAAAA/gBMUDE1

NldGNi1TUEszAL8=

On a single line:

AP///////wAw5DMFAAAAAAAaAQSVIhN46qHFlFlXjycgUFQAAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBLjaAoHA4H0AwIDUAWMIQAAAaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA/gBMRyBEaXNwbGF5CiAgAAAA/gBMUDE1NldGNi1TUEszAL8=

So how should I use this data to inject it into Clover, to force the display to boot with this EDID ?

Much thanks in advance,

If your suggestion helps and Mojave runs in my display with full graphics acceleration, give me your PayPal please :)
