Hello Everyone,

I'm helping my brother update the Hack we did 5-6 years ago. We originally used unishit and tonycrap86 stuff, it was functional "enough", but he wanted to upgrade to Mojave. We read Olarila is the way to go. So we followed the instructions as best we could from this post, the newer version of clover doesn't look like the pictures above and we don't speak Portuguese so we guessed best we could on what settings to use. But we got it so the SSD would boot into Mojave. From there the wireless card, and his new RX570 wasn't being recognized. First thing we did was run the Anthenos app in the Olarila folder and then we restarted the computer, and the wireless card worked great. Then we mounted the EFI folder, and tried to add the Kexts for Lilu, whatevergreen, and FakeSMC. When we restarted from there we kept getting hung up in verbose mode after we selected the Mojave SSD. So we decided to try a fresh install again since we did have it working. We put in the USB, reformatted the SSD again, and installed Mojave again, but this time after the first install piece Mojave says it needs to restart, so we restart, but it gets caught up in verbose mode in the same spot as before. Are the Kexts what's affecting this, and if so why do they still affect it after a fresh restart? What should we try to do? I'm a noob with the Hackintosh stuff, but I really want to learn and understand. Maybe I can become a master like one of you someday!

Graphics Card:

I'm still having trouble with "wake" from sleep.

If I sleep a couple minutes it wakes fine. If I leave more than 5-10minutes it does not wake, stays black screen, but pc keeps running.

I tried Hibernatefix kext. Tried updating Kexts. Tried hackintool.

Not sure what else to do, still not working.

Okay I think I'm learning what it means to own a Hackintosh haha.

I just want to confirm that this is "normal", or if there may be a fix for these two things.

1) I have to recopy the EFI from USB, then I have to reinstall/update the Apple ALC kext, then reboot, every time after shutdown in order to get sound.

2) Stuck on black screen after sleep (if I sleep more than 10 minutes), computer does not wake.

Mine worked smooth as silk ever since I got my patched DSDT thanks to Mald0n.

[ref]MaLd0n[/ref], quick question: under the config.plist-->>smbios, there is an option to generate new System Serial Number and System SmUUID, is it safe to generate new ones?

And also the Board Serial Number, is it okay to retain the one from the one you sent me or do I need a new one? Will it not cause conflict to features like iMessage?

[ref]MaLd0n[/ref], thanks.

Maybe my last question before the year ends - is there a way to install hackintosh with APFS Encrypted? I once but after the install got completed, the hackintosh won't boot.

Happy New Year to everyone!
