Hi Maldon. As you said, I disabled the SpeedStep in bios but it didn't worked. Cpu still idle at 0.8GHz. I googled and found an app "Volta". It's basically an app for undervolting Macbooks. It also has a Performance mode which locks the Cpu to its highest frequency. But sadly, not the iGPU which still idles at 0.2GHz. Is there any method in Mac os to change the frequency configuration of both Cpu & iGPU? Please help me.

which version should i boot and any guide or important thing i should look out for?

Using raw image of Catalina fron here and etcher RH process was fast, bit during instalación whem remains 2 minutes installer stuck hanging and dont works.

I tried repeat installation proccess 4 times and aleways stuck remaininng 2 minutes.

Finally getting somewhere with my install. after many days wifi issues (ar9485) can move onto the next stage of the install guide.. BTW is it a known bug that installing a kext can break the system in Catalina? When I installed the kext that got my wifi working, it broke the system. On boot with just stop with kext cache error. I reinstalled over my install to get it working again.

anyway, I'm really struggling with the chipset part of the install. I installed using the Catalina image, everything went easy didn't have to change any configs to get the install working. it installed it booted up created my account all great. I've installed clover and copied over the clover folder from the USB stick and great boots from HD!!!

So now I download clover for my chipset. I have a Sony Vaaio SVE laptop with qudcore i7 and and 7650m graphics. I download series 7 chipset , copy over the folder but it freezes at ps2synaptics (I'm guessing this is just before it loads guy) and no messages after that. I tried notebook series 7 same thing but it gives a few more errors suggesting this is wrong chipset.

So back to normal series 7, I notice it complaining about virtualsmc refi broken, so I re move it and replace with fakesmc, now it looks normals yet still freezes in same place....

Tried copying over the working plist from clover, still same...

:/ anyone help getting correct chipset so I can continue onto next step of building a a better system???

I am unable to get any Catalina image to create a bootable.

I get this error with the file downloaded "Olarila Catalina B8.raw"

I also tried using terminal with what downloads from the Apple beta utility

It would not boot. Only returns to the bios screen after selecting the USB to boot.

I can create a bootable with unishit, but not working with anything here so far.

There is not issue with pulling down the files from either of your locations. After opening the RAR The file that unarcives is a .raw file.

It just throws a corruption error when attempting to use it with Etcher.

I looked for something to do to this .raw file google can't make sense of it either.

Thanks for clover file. Unfortunately my system freezes during boot... Tried to attach photo but forum says invalid file extension.

It freezes at

hi I got a new wireless keyboard but it's PS/2 so I had to buy an adapter it does recognize it but it does not work the light is blinking as it should but it does not work. I tried using it on Windows and it works fine. don't no why it doesn't work here.

I have successfully used createmedi in Terminal and have the image from apple on USB

Is there another way to do this starting with the USB Catalina bootable I have from create media / terminal?

I don't think I can work with anything else at Olaria.com if I do not begin with creating the USB with you image. Your efi would only be useful with the Olaria image.

Since I cannot make use of this strange .raw file. I just have to move on? Is it fair to ask for you to return the $20 donation?

Hi i followed your instructions when i boot clover i dont see "INSTALL MAC OS" all i see is boot windows, what am i doing wrong?

I do not have mac computer all i have is Intel pc windows 10 64 bit ... so i cant edit the EFI or access that partition on my USB in windows.

Would someone be so kind as to make an EFI that will boot my system please?

Could someone please give me a direct link to the kext i will need to make my system work? My compute spec is in my signature thank you.
