Update: Fiz uma nova instalação do Catalina, dessa vez dentro do meu SSD, pesquisei de tudo no google e coloquei/alterei todas as kexts e configurações do clover que arrumariam a hd 630, na nova instalação correu tudo bem e está resolvido! Não sei o que deu errado na última que o SMBios estava trancado "eu alterava no clover, salvava e reinicia e ainda continuava no iMac 18,3. Para resolver esse problema alterei a smbios do config.plist do pendrive de instalação para iMac 18,1. Para já instalar nela como padrão, consegui desse jeito também, instalar o mac do zero vindo do windows foi sofrido pra mim, mas deu tudo certo. Valeu pela ajuda, Maldon e desculpe as noobadas (não sou preguiçoso, pesquiso as coisas só que não entendo os termos na maioria das vezes aí achei esse fórum.) Valeu.

i do have the installed configuration:

 

/dev/sda1     EFI-System
/dev/sda2    Microsoft reserviert
/dev/sda3    Microsoft Basisdaten
/dev/sda4    Windows-Wiederherstellungsumgebung
/dev/sda5   Linux Swap
/dev/sda6   Linux-Dateisystem
/dev/sda7   unbekannt  ---- catalina install.
/dev/sda8   Microsoft Basisdaten, 

Catalina is installed in partition 7 (dsk0s7), but grub does not recognize it.

I'm using grub (MBR).  To install the Olarila bootmanager, to which partition shall i install it?

 

And Kexts, where shall they be installed?

Until now, i'm only able to boot catalina with the pendrive (olarila boot).

Follow your guide step by step after HS is installed onto afps formatted SSD booted back into clover menu, select boot from HS ssd and it will run the script but ends up rebooting the system. 

Am I missing something?

Still not having any luck. Tried to update to Catalina 10.15.3 from Mojave 10.14.6 and keep getting kernel panic. No idea why.

by the way this is the laptop. Sold my other one and trying to get this one working. Was able to simply use the same hard drive and put it in this laptop since it was close to it. Works fine in Mojave but issues getting it upgraded to Catalina.

Using an SSD in it.

 

I have tried -no_comp_check flag but no luck either. It is a Haswell processor.

for the multiboot, i had clover folder at EFI directory, but my bios didn't show it, so, under windows i used easy uefi and added the entry. So far, so good, copied the config2.plist to the EFI/clover dir, and it booted right, with some errors. 

I'm using catalina, and the notebook is a HP.

copied the ATH9KInjector.kext to  EFI/clover/kexts/Other, and have now wifi and bt, with the DW1707 pci board.

But i could not make my touchpad work, and keyboard is still erratic.

Under linux, i get the following by dmesg | grep mouse:

I also read that they shall  be copied to /System/Library/Extensions, but this is read only, but /Library/Extensions  is writeable.

Well my other laptop died out that I was working on. There was a short on the motherboard that fried it. Freaking nice. It was 5 years old so...

Ended up getting a newer one today. MSI GF63 Thin 9SC-257. 

Trying to figure out which wifi cards are compatible with the slot for the one that is in here. The model in it now is Intel 9560NGW, I see this note for it:

• Connector Interface: NGFF Key E (M2:CNVio) Not NGFF!!!

• Intel 9560NGW 2.4G/5G 300Mbps+1730Mbps 160 MHz Channels Bluetooth 5.0 NGFF Combo Wifi Adapter

Any idea what that means? Here are images of the Wifi Card. Any ideas on which one would be compatible for MacOS?

Having trouble trying to get anything installed. Mojave or Catalina. Get into the installer and get this error:

Any ideas on how to get past this?

Ok so got Mojave 10.14.1 installed finally. I have not been able to use F4 to extract files in Clover for some reason. Used DPCIManager to extract the DSDT which is attached along with the Runme.app.

 

My laptop is dual HDD with NVMe and Sata SSD. Mojave is installed to the SATA SSD. The only way I can see the SSD is when I use the Mojave boot disc. It doesn't show up in the options when I choose F11 to choose boot disc.

The laptop has an Nvidia 1650 Max-Q installed in it along with Intel HD 630.

How can I get the Nvidia disabled and get this to boot up without USB drive?
