ChewyHackintosh Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 ChewyHackintosh, viewtopic.php?f=50&t=14783 Thanks, that has got almost everything working again. I still can not boot without usb. With USB goes to black and blue Olarilla screen then I can boot from my SSD. Loads Perfect! With No USB goes to Red Christmas Clover Bootloader from EFI, then goes to black screen with white circle with a line through it (do not enter sign).

ChewyHackintosh Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 ChewyHackintosh, use a efi folder from usb stick What I did was open and install Clover_v2.5k_r5101.pkg onto my SSD. Then, Open EFI folder. Then, Replace EFI folder with "EFI Folder" (that I downloaded from here viewtopic.php?f=50&t=14783.) That works with USB. But if I take USB out of my computer it no longer boots. I tried to replace it with the "EFI Folder" in my PostInstall USB Stick. Then when I reboot it forces me into MacOS Utilities / Recovery startup. And I have to reformat SSD in order to reinstall OSX and boot.

ChewyHackintosh Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 ChewyHackintosh, uefi mobo just paste efi folder in efi partition, don't need install clover I just wanted to say I am very Grateful for your help! I could not do it without you! Thank You! I put the EFI into the EFI partition. Would installing Clover be giving me a problem? If I take out USB sticks from my computer, then it does not boot. edit: so I tried again. This time reformat and fresh install. I did not install clover. I replaced the EFI Folder in the partition. Still no boot without USB. (With USB it's okay). edit: OKAY! I GOT IT FIGURED OUT! ....what you were saying made sense, I just had to think it over again. So what I did this time was.... Fresh install. Then I used clover configurator to mount my SSD and to mount my USB installer. Then I copied the EFI from the usb installer directly to the SSD. Voila it works! THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP MaLd0n! <3
ChewyHackintosh Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Okay sorry, one more thing. I can boot into OS fine with no usb. If I click Apple Button -> Sleep. .. screen will go black, and if I wait like 30seconds-1minute and shake mouse it wakes up. Or If I let screensaver turn on it will go to lock screen and ask for my password. But the problem is, if I walk away for like 5-10minutes or more and my monitor turns off. Then when I turn my monitor back on it does not wake up. Monitor does not recognize any device even if I click keyboard or shake mouse. I have to restart computer. Would you know what that's about? Do I need a kext or something?

Hallbog Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 Hello Everyone, I'm helping my brother update the Hack we did 5-6 years ago. We originally used unishit and tonycrap86 stuff, it was functional "enough", but he wanted to upgrade to Mojave. We read Olarila is the way to go. So we followed the instructions as best we could from this post, the newer version of clover doesn't look like the pictures above and we don't speak Portuguese so we guessed best we could on what settings to use. But we got it so the SSD would boot into Mojave. From there the wireless card, and his new RX570 wasn't being recognized. First thing we did was run the Anthenos app in the Olarila folder and then we restarted the computer, and the wireless card worked great. Then we mounted the EFI folder, and tried to add the Kexts for Lilu, whatevergreen, and FakeSMC. When we restarted from there we kept getting hung up in verbose mode after we selected the Mojave SSD. So we decided to try a fresh install again since we did have it working. We put in the USB, reformatted the SSD again, and installed Mojave again, but this time after the first install piece Mojave says it needs to restart, so we restart, but it gets caught up in verbose mode in the same spot as before. Are the Kexts what's affecting this, and if so why do they still affect it after a fresh restart? What should we try to do? I'm a noob with the Hackintosh stuff, but I really want to learn and understand. Maybe I can become a master like one of you someday! His PC specs (my profile is for the parts I'm expecting in the mail to do my own build): Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 Processor: i7 - Intel 4790K (4th generation) Graphics Card: RX570 (AMD)

Hallbog Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 Hello MaLd0N, I would do the RunMe.app as you suggest, but we cannot get into MacOS. Is there a way for us to get it to boot? We are stuck here... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VaWLMDxq9UDcC39iRIr3GyVgXPln8-RK Thank you!
ChewyHackintosh Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 I'm still having trouble with "wake" from sleep. If I sleep a couple minutes it wakes fine. If I leave more than 5-10minutes it does not wake, stays black screen, but pc keeps running. I tried Hibernatefix kext. Tried updating Kexts. Tried hackintool. Not sure what else to do, still not working.
