Sorry for the Multi-post I just wanted to update. I got my wifi dongle working. Bluetooth and the touchscreen aren't working now (worked on Mojave prior to installing Catalina) Any suggestions? Thanks for all the help btw!

Some doubts,

I didn't follow the tutorial as it is, because my harddrive have already windows installed and I don't want to loose it.

At the step to format/erase the hard drive, I have erase only one free partition instead the full HDD

Note: I am using a mechanical SATA drive, not a SSD

So, at this point I have in my HDD some partitions that have been forever (Windows  OS partition,  data partition, some partitions that seems to be an EFI partition but with different name, and new MacCatarina partition)

in the  step 7- Copy Olarila EFI folder to EFI partition,  I have copied to the partition EFI that I have seem. (with a Windows subfolder inside).

after restart the laptop, Windows automatically restart instead Clover boot loader.

Also,  I have mount an EFI partition on the new Mac Partition(volume) and copy EFI files inside.

After that,  -I have restarted, but still Windows have started.

Regarding the step 8- Install Clover Bootloader in SSD

*Mobos UEFI - you don't need install Clover, just paste Olarila folder for your Chipset into ESP/EFI partition and reboot!

I suppose my laptop is EFI, for that I have not install clover, only I have copied EFI files explainer earlier.

I have missed something?

is it possible to install macOS without loose Windows partitions?

How to proceed to be able to boot Clover in order to be able to choose the OS?

Thanks  and regards

Yes.  Disk is GUID formatted.  Checking with dispart(windows) shows as gpt.

I will try to attache some screenshots later.

something else to check?

Hi Guys,

I have started from scratch.  I have replace the SSD with an old HDD and start agin the process.

Now I have tried to follow the process as it is to understand better the thing and check that my laptop is capable to run macOS fine.

After that I will come back with the installation in my SSD disk with Windows (but this will be later)

For now, I have a new issue.  After copy files in EFI (Chipset + Graphics) I have restarted the laptop.

Clover was available to select the OS (so far so good).  But in the starting process several ACPI errors has been displayed (and taking too long to start)

Reading in internet I have found to include npc=0x3000. With this option I have been able to start Mac again.

I suppose a bad file have ben used.  What file I need to check?

My configuration:

Lenovo 50-70:    Chipset Model    Haswell-ULT
EFI files used:  (if I am not wrong: NOTEBOOKS CHIPSET SERIES 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

config.plist -> Video -HD4600, 4400 and 4200

Any clue to check?

thanks in advance

I have been doing some changes here and there and now I am able to boot from HDD (without USB),   but for sure several things are pending

- usb 3.0 errors

- napi=0x3000 needed.

and much more

I can not upload sendme file because 8MB

file here the same> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WsW8mzQuJ3w8bMycTovFdzdxKNE-6Qg1/view?usp=sharing

NOTE: As  I have been doing several things to try to get it boot.  if needed, I would start from scratch again (not sure if I will manage again to get this point, but I would try)

thanks
