gilles beesley Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 Hi again. Finally managed to get Catalina to install. I borrowed a DSDT from a post where someone had a similar laptop to me. Anyhow, I'm now stuck trying to boot from the internal SSD, rather than the USB device. I've followed the instructions, installed clover (although the clover installer looked a bit different than the instructions - I guess a newer version?). Now I've copied the relevant EFI folder to my EFI partition (which is my windows system partition - dual boot etc.). Clover launches when booting and then when the option to boot from the Catalina drive is selected I just get: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and it freezes... If I boot from USB, then it is fine... Any ideas? Trying my best not to run out of patience - frustrating though! Totally my own fault I'm sure. Cheers

Before request the dsdt patch i tried to replace my Efi folder with the ones linked in the guide. I tried notebook chipset series skylake + (SKYLAKE / KABYLAKE / COFFEELAKE) . Yes maybe is the wrong one 'cause my ssd wont boot at all and Windows start xD Could you help me?

Before replacing the folder the system boots well... Maybe i can try again later, if you wish I can give you more details of my hw . sebastian valencia Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Sorry I'm writing for such a problem or that I don't understand much, because I decided on the previous version, bone 10.14.5 everything works well for me except ethernet and wifi, it recognizes the input l'an but never connects and The wifi does not appear, and I have downloaded Kexts from the downloadable section I have put them in the library and in efi and it does not function I only have the Internet if I start from the usb, what can I do?

amarsingh Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Hi, Firstly, what a great guide and content on the site. This is my first attempt at a hackintosh. I followed this guide. Used the Olarila pre made ISO for High Sierra found here: Don't have access to a Mac at the moment so went down the Windows route of formatting the USB to NTFS and burning the image using WIN32 disk manager. Got to the boot from USB in the clover boot screen and when I did that it executed for a few seconds and then got stuck at this: 20200319_235214.zip My Build: Mobo - Gigabyte Z390 Auros Pro WiFI CPU - i7-9700k GPU - 8G ZOTAC GTX1070 AMP Edition SSD - Samsung 860 EVO 500GB - Windows currently installed on this HHD - WD HDD 1TB Would appreciate any help and guidance. So after much research I have found out how to access the EFI folder in windows (Using MiniTool Partition Wizard and Explorer++). Please tell me if you know otherwise or I shouldn't be doing this? When you say last version do you mean latest version? And again when you say last EFI folder do you mean the last one in the list under clover folders (which would be X299) or do you mean latest EFI folder for my chipset i.e under clover folders?
