I asked the other day and know you are busy. What files do I use that are the same? The files in the EFI folder? I tried those with no luck. Or the files in the Runme zip file? confused.

I've got a following problem with my Graphics which is RX 570 - screen turns black after "ioconsoleusers gioscreenlockstate 3". I'm using HDMI output and don't have any other cables atm. Also searched this forum a little bit and fix to that was to disable CSM in BIOS but since I don't have this setting in my BIOS - what can I do to make it work?

is a xfx card? what ur mobo? uefi mode boot?

How to get i5 4th processor inbuilt graphics work with macos catalina I believe that the graphics is intel hd graphics 4000 series. Any way to get full QE/CI.

Thanks for your work I have already installed the mojave in my HP Omen 15-AX001LA (V7R98LA) and I have run in Runme and still I cannot solve the audio, microphone and Nvidia problems and also it does not transmit a screen that I should do more?

Hello @MaLd0n I recently switched NIC to a Solarflare 10GbE model SFN5122F. The package installer for the driver wouldn't install saying it was untrusted which is a known issue in Catalina. I cannot figure out how to get the package installer to install. I was able however to get the NIC working just installing the kext file into EFI folder under kexts/other. The NIC is working and identified as en3 and also identifies as 10Gbase-SR on the machine. The trouble is I'm noticing some pretty bad input lag and screen flickering with this NIC installed. It does it with, or without the kext installed in the EFI folder. I wanted to upload a new sendme file to see if this is something that can be fixed?? The input lag from my mouse and keyboard and the screen flickering from the GPU (RX580) are terrible and I need to get this fixed or I will have to downgrade to Mojave on this machine.

Side note, I do have another machine running Mojave you helped me with, and the same Solarflare NIC and driver package installed perfect without a hitch and it's working marvelous with no screen flicker or input lag. Here is my newest most recent sendme file. Can you have a look please?

Hi again.

 

Finally managed to get Catalina to install. I borrowed a DSDT from a post where someone had a similar laptop to me.

Anyhow, I'm now stuck trying to boot from the internal SSD, rather than the USB device.

I've followed the instructions, installed clover (although the clover installer looked a bit different than the instructions - I guess a newer version?).

Now I've copied the relevant EFI folder to my EFI partition (which is my windows system partition - dual boot etc.). Clover launches when booting and then when the option to boot from the Catalina drive is selected I just get:

and it freezes...

 

If I boot from USB, then it is fine...

 

Any ideas? Trying my best not to run out of patience - frustrating though! Totally my own fault I'm sure.

Screen flicker and input lag are still horrible. Is this something that can't be fixed? Thank you for the update DSDT file.

Hi guys! First reply! Super happy to be here.

 

I installed Mojave yesterday on my Asus Rog Laptop. Before request the dsdt patch i tried to replace my Efi folder with the ones linked in the guide. I tried notebook chipset series skylake + (SKYLAKE / KABYLAKE / COFFEELAKE) . Yes maybe is the wrong one 'cause my ssd wont boot at all and Windows start xD

u used a boot key or set ur ssd with macos as primary in boot order?

Thanks for the reply, yes! Before replacing the folder the system boots well... Maybe i can try again later, if you wish I can  give you more details of my hw .

 

 

Edit:

Ok my bad, I did a bad replace, anyway the verbose boot stops on SMCLightSensor that couldnt allocate, so i removed the virtual smc kext and it stops on busy timeout ''AppleACPICPU"

I just downloaded the 2020 version of mojave and catalina and presented a glich in safari just like it doesn't recognize any network interface
