Hi, everyone...

After the procedure to resolve Unknown CPU I have in finder same result even if in other applications the CPU is shown...

I have proceeded in this mode:

Downloaded:

curl -o ~/ssdtPRGen.sh https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh/master/ssdtPRGen.sh

Copy our modded downloaded DATA folder https://Olarila.com/forum/download/file.php?id=16110

and edit "User Defined.cfg" with:

'E5-2695 v3',120,1200,2300,3300,14,28

after in the terminal

chmod +x ~/ssdtPRGen.sh

again...

sudo ~/ssdtPRGen.sh -p 'E5-2695 v3' -f 2300 -turbo 3300

cd ~/Desktop/CPUFriend-master/ResourceConverter

Download CPUFriend master zip https://github.com/acidanthera/CPUFriend

terminal:

./ResourceConverter.sh --acpi /Users/apple/Library/ssdtPRGen/SSDT.aml

Combining CPUFriend data into Pike's SSDT and save the ssdt.aml and copy to Clover/acpi/patched

Or NOT and...

2. Drag ssdt.aml from ~/Library/ssdtPRgen folder to terminal and Press Enter

3. Your CPUFriendDataProvider.kext will be generated and can be found at ~/Desktop/CPUFriend-master/ResourceConverter folder

4. Place both CPUFriendDataProvider.kext and CPUFriend.kext in clover/kext/others

./ResourceConverter.sh --kext /Users/apple/Library/ssdtPRGen/SSDT.aml

and also

sudo chmod -R 755 kextfile.kext

sudo chown -R root:wheel kextfile.kext

But the CPU in Finder (about this MAC) result unknown (sconosciuta in italian)

[ref]onemanosx[/ref], my battery still drains very fast. SSDT copied on clover/acpi/patch. CPUFriend.kext and CPUFriendDataProvider.kext on kext/other folder. But upon checking on IOREG I cannot see cf frequency, can you tell me how to fix that, thank you.

for first gen cpu just use SSDT only. CPUfriend is not required.

Maybe this processor is not supported in PRgen? Tried it and get an error unsupported. Looked over a bunch of CFG files and I don't see anything less than 2nd generation intel i7/i5/i3. I will see if adding this CPU to the CFG will help any but is that the only reason why for the error or os it possible PRgen was not coded to work with 1st generation CPU?

Hey I got also the i7-8750H, I wonder if lowering the tdp data does help saving energy? Also what is that 600 value which I cannot seem to find at intel’s website and current post Data folder contains the cpu but instead of 600 it has there a 500 value. How do you get default value for a cpu and how do you define which value is better?

i tried this with a macpro 6,1 smbios and ssdtPRGen seemed to run fine. i then added the cf-frequency-data, ran it through iasl and put the result in clover's patched folder. during verbose boot i could see the success message from X86PlatformPlugin. i have also set clover's plugin type to 1 and used the haswell-e fakecpuid because 10.12 wouldn't boot with the original broadwell id.

however, it had no effect. the frequency graph of Intel's Power Gadget was still straight. no vertical movement at all.

i did this with 10.12.6 and with windows the power management works fine. so i guess my bios settings are okay. so what did i miss?
