High Sierra (on X299 + i9 7960x) is SLOW

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm a new guy in the World of Video editing and I'm using Da Vinci Resolve and sometimes FCPX.

I have a fresh installed Hackintosh on High Sierra 10.13.6 with :

-GA-X299-Designare EX

-i9 7960x

-128GB Ram

-2x1TB NVME Samsung SSD

-2x1080Ti 11GB

When I do Benchmark like Geekbench, all the CPU cores reach 100%.

That's not the case in Da Vinci Resolve where the cores cant reach more than 65% when I render.

And it's even less poor than in FCPX where the cores are at max 35%.

Where I'm Wrong ? I've read some topics on Reddit where people are experiencing the same issue in Resolve...

I understand the thing that for FCPX it's normal, as I not running AMD material... But for Resolve, what's the trick ?

I even get better result with my previous machine based on Z370+i7 8700+64GB Ram !!! That's insane...

Thanks for the help !

Best regards,

GP

Do I need to check Nvda_drv=1 and NvidiaWeb ? Cause I have a 1080Ti and no integrated graphic on board (X299 Designare EX).

Yes I've checked the tick in Clover Configurator for NPCI=0X2000 and I've set the VoodoTSCSync for my 16 cores...
