Monkey303 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Thanks! After I’ve done your fix above, which driver should I use?

Monkey303 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 So this is very strange, with your edit above added and the driver reverted to the original, it is still moving very slow and getting stuck on: Forcing CS_RUNTIME for entitlement: com.apple.rootless.installgetExceptionList: failed to open /private/var/dB/systemPolicyConfiguration/HardeningExceptions.plistCreating RAM Disk for /var/Log Do you think my usb drive is corrupted or needs redoing? Thanks!

Monkey303 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 (edited) Previous usb drive was a usb 2 Kingston, and the new one is patriot rage 2, pretty fast and only a couple of weeks old and still everything is moving incredibly slow, same as the other usb drive. Hope my m.2 drive isnt going bad. Going to see if I can wipe it completely. I noticed there was an unfamiliar (to me at least) boot screen, but I can’t navigate it, keyboard doesn’t work. I have attached a photo below. https://ibb.co/BqYdrTd Edited November 26, 2018 by Guest

Monkey303 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Thanks, OK I have found the cause of the slow performance, it is a BIOS setting called above 4g encoding, I had reset BIOS earlier and must have enabled it by accident when doing the other settings. So I can get the installer up and running again, but it still freezes at 2 minutes remaining. The only change at the moment is your etc bug fix. I will try the drivers again.

Monkey303 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 So with the emu and osxaptiofix driver installed, instead of freezing, it reboots at 2 mins and starts all over again. Same thing with just the osxaptiofix driver. Do you think it is worth trying the v2 and v3?
Administrators MaLd0n Posted November 25, 2018 Administrators Posted November 25, 2018 [ref]Monkey303[/ref], u can try a v3, some ppl use old bios version and don't have this problem -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
Monkey303 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Tried v3, also tried flashing to the older BIOS, there are only 2 to choose from, both have the same reboot or freeze issues depending on which driver is used. Giving up for today lol, thanks for the help

Monkey303 Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 Good morning! So, I tried again this morning and when I booted into clover, there were 2 things to boot from, so I chose the second and it went straight into a different kind of installer that I hadn’t seen before and it completed! I now have an install of Mojave but it is very flickery and there is no internet connection. I had disabled WiFi and bluetooth in BIOS, but not the intel lan. As far as I can see, there are just 2 things not working, lan and flickering graphics. Is this fixable? Thanks

Monkey303 Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 Hello again! So there is a software update for 10.14.1, but when I try to update, it starts to install, then says something about generating a report and reboots, but it hasn’t installed the update. Also, on the clover boot screen, I have: 1. Boot macOS install from install macOS Mojave 2. Boot FileVault prebooter from Preboot 3. Boot macOS install prebooter from preboot 4. Boot macOS install from Hackintosh 970 Pro 5. Boot macOS from Hackintosh 970 Pro 6. Boot recovery from recovery I think number 4 and 5 start to do some kind of install and they hang at 28 minutes remaining. Are they from previous install attempts, or are they to do with the failed update? Finally, I have a RX 560, It installed ok, but scrolling in safari and mouse pointers are not quite smooth, could this be something left over from the uhd 630 graphics drivers? Or do I need to add drivers manually for the rx 560. Thanks.
Administrators MaLd0n Posted November 28, 2018 Administrators Posted November 28, 2018 [ref]Monkey303[/ref], RX560 is native, u just need a correct ig-pltform-id for igpu, the best is both work together -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
