Audio device detected speaker and headphone works but sound is distorted. Microphone does not work. Also able to boot with my original config.plist and audio driver detected but same problem as above.

But keep in mind that your Microphone is not present in your codec_dump,

so there is no guarantee that it will work.

Headphones and internal speakers works incredibly well and insanely loud with no distortions (love it!). Line in is detected but not working. Internal mic not detected.

I double checked my headset with Windows and its working. I did a test by recording through adobe premiere as well as monitoring the signal bar in audio preferences.

I figured if internal mic is not working at least you can get the line in to work since you said there no node for microphone

Brightness slider works without kext and clover hot-patch

I didnt expect this at all! I was actually troubleshooting why the back light slider broke on Mojave beta and stumbled upon this finding!

So here you go! Native support for backlight slider without applebacklightinjector.kext and related kext to patch. However, keep the SSDT-PNLF.aml or you can also delete the ssdt and just check AddPNLF in Clover. Both method works

Option1: First, need to know how your native brightness keys is handled. You can follow simple instruction here under "Brightness keys" https://www.tonycrapx86.com/threads/guide-patching-dsdt-ssdt-for-laptop-backlight-control.152659/ then patch DSDT according to your finding.

Option 2: Simply change the the brightness command keys from macOS Keyboard shortcut

Mojave Update

I wasn't planning to upgrade this laptop to Mojave. Well, not anytime soon anyway. But, installing Mojave on an external HD is close enough to see if anything will break due to the upgrade. Looks like its pretty much the same except for update of kext for I2c trackpad.

Beyond that, airdrop does not seem to work well. But, I did not spend too much time troubleshooting anyway.
