bonejoev Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 this time it freezes but the words are distorted, and it moves every 2 minutes or so Added in 17 minutes 13 seconds: I believe it says waiting for root device Added in 10 minutes 42 seconds: correction, I was able to boot with this DSDT, the problem that I was having was being that this system of mine is very old the CMOS battery is drained and my settings keep resetting. have to change the battery, but for now everything seems ok. Mald0n, what else should I do for this system to be top notch? is sleep working, power management ?Video Encoder working? please advice. and by the way is always a pleasure to back back on this forum. thanks for the help. Added in 59 minutes 36 seconds: it doesn't sleep, should I have the nullpowermanagement load or use stock appleintelcpupowermananegement with this DSDT ? please advice
Administrators MaLd0n Posted October 29, 2018 Author Administrators Posted October 29, 2018 [ref]bonejoev[/ref], remove nullcpupm, use good smbios, in high sierra use -no_compat_check bootargs and smbios iMac10,1 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
bonejoev Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Removed nullcpupowermangemnt, and now system freezes and reboot upon booting into os and no kernel panic is presented. Also I wanted to mention that when I hit the shutdown button the computer shuts down but immediately turns back on I don’t know why.

bonejoev Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 tried it, but froze yet again at the log in screen, no kernel panic Added in 10 minutes 53 seconds: Just a note, don’t know if it makes a difference, when I had macOS Sierra I had removed appleintelcpupowermanagrmnet.kext from the os, I’m assuming that it was put back when I did the macOS high Sierra update, did it not? Or I have to manually put it back
