supercallous Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Hi MaLd0n I seem to run into a problem during the install. It asks me to choose which disk to install to, but there is nothing there to select. Please see the attached screenshot. Do you have any idea why this is happening?

supercallous Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 I managed to get it right by following the guide below: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=85631 Hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same issue. Added in 19 minutes 43 seconds: [ref]MaLd0n[/ref], it was related to the type of file system being used. VirtualBox doesn't yet support AppleFS, so I had to tell the installation to use the recovery partition as that is where the install files get copied to. It then completed the installation once I had done this and ejected the ISO from the VM.

ricardogcs Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 For anyone else, if you see the below at the boot manager you need to go into the disk utility, delete the 35GB virtual HDD partition and recreate it using the mac OS. Thanks!
hackadventure Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 The virtualbox machine is reaching the AppleIntel8254XEthernet: Ethernet address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx and then the virtual machine stalls. It does not move ahead after waiting. What do I do?
Kaio Patrick Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 DISCO PARA A INSTALAÇÃO DO HIGH SIERRA NÃO APARECE? / DOESN'T APPEAR ANY DISK IN HIGH SIERRA INSTALLATION? ---------------------------------------------------ENGLISH ------------------------------------------------------- Annoying error...after trying over and over in a strong headache I finally got the solution! Go ahead in DISK UTILITY option localizated in the action tab Select the disk that you created on the VirtualBox configuration Press Erase then will appear a tab Choose "APFS" and GUID, DO NOT CHANGE THE DISK NAME!!! Then press ARASE and restart your virtualmachine Proceed the sequence to install and the disk will be in there!! Srry about my english, I'll let you to correct my grammatic erros xD

usd311 Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 hey I'm stuck with the exact same problem as RoyalC with the highsierra iso. I ran the .bat and tried it manually. sure the machine name is correct. tried it with the El Capitan iso, ending in critical boot error before installation process started. anyone got similar experience and can help me? any ideas appreciated. thanks.
zojith Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 While installing, it stuck at "Select the disk where you want to install Mac OS". There is no option to select the disk.
kpereira Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Nice! Works Just fine!! I used VBox in ubuntu and it works like a charm. Thanks MaLd0n, you're awesome! Adicionado a 2 minutos 33 segundos: There is no option to select the disk. if you is using HS, read the end of the tutorial, there is specific tips to run HS.
km_ Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 RoyalC, I am in the same boat as you. But I tried on another computer and it finally got beyond the randomseed bit. The first PC I was running into this issue was an AMD system, and the one that finally started to get past the randomseed part is Intel. Is this similar to your situation? [edited] I am now getting a boot loop with all the text on the screen so now I gotta figure how to get the installer to launch... I am attaching the Vbox log file if someone can help me figure out why the Installer wont load and why it keeps rebooting... VBox.log
blackiceliru13 Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Hello, after install High sierra on virtual machine I can`t get into boot manager f12 doesn`t work, What I am doing wrong?
adsfsdfsdf Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Hello, I followed this tutorial using mountain lion, thus I did not follow the additional steps. I have gotten the OS to boot in virtual box however its totally broke. I cannot run sudo in terminal, I get a error "sudo: unable to cache user root, already exists". I try to install an app from a dmg but it asks me to authenticate with name and password - I enter my name and password and it doesn't work. I even changed password in system and still didnt work.
Averus Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 I keep having a black screen with code on during install and the mac os X installer won't come up. my fix is to run cmd commands with closed Vbox gui
Quey_quick Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 my fix is to run cmd commands with closed Vbox gui I tried this, still stuck on boot loop
abobora Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Opa... tranquilo? Valeu =) ----------------------------------------------- english hey man... how's going? Hope fine some silly questions related to this thread - can I do this same process using Hyper-V? Because I use Docker here and they usually don't go along very well =\ - my video card is a GeForce 1050Ti (laptop), and I noticed that there is no driver for it yet, so I'll be losing my HDMI together. Does anyone had this same situation and its working? Despite I saw the drivers here, I haven't seen anyone saying a word regarding this crd - my laptop is a i8750H, video card above ((Dell G7 15))... can I install Mojave on it or just HS? - if I can't install Mojave on the laptop, can I install it via VM? Or no because drivers or something? Cheers =)
