zeg66 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 I want to try this on my pc. After I burn the image to a usb stick and I want to update clover, should I backup any files from the EFI folder before I update clover and copy them back again after? Will the clover update overwrite or delete any of the original files in the image?
pernacabeluda Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Clover installer won't replace config, just Clover itself and selected drivers. Anyway, old files are saved in EFI-Backups folder. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

zeg66 Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 it is already unchecked. I have a good working 10.13.5 installation on the same hardware (mechanical hard disk, HFS+J). Could I copy some files from it to the 10.14 usb to help it get past this problem?
Administrators MaLd0n Posted June 13, 2018 Author Administrators Posted June 13, 2018 if stay uncheck, check and clover inject a properties -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE

zeg66 Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I can no longer mount the EFI partition with "diskutil mount /dev/disk0s1" there are no audio devices running (Realtek® ALC887-VD2 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC) graphics are too slow and choppy, screen fonts are, well.... not sure how to patch DSDT's

zeg66 Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Thank you Mald0n, I tried Clover Configurator too. Still no sound. Update: The system boots with no Clover BootArgs at all. I can mount EFI partition OK. For audio: the method I used for 10.13.3, 10.13.4, 10.13.5 does _not_ work with 10.14 (Lilu, AppleALC, HDEF/HDAS, Inject 2, ResetHDA). Graphics show _no_ transparency and are sometimes very slow. However the system appears quite fast and shuts down instantly, good.

zeg66 Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 But the trick is to make it work on much lower cost hardware, like mine for example, or even lower, if possible
