If you have JRE installed you should be able to run it by opening DSDTParser.jar

I've downloaded the DSDT Editor, extracted DSDT and when I've clicked on COMPILE (without editing anything yet) it already is giving me errors lol, how can I fix that?

I can't even save the DSDT.aml to work on edits cause it won't save..

Hello, I only got remarks and warnings on MaciASL and cannot compile, but under DSDT Editor I got some errors, should I paste them here? Where can I begin searching for fixes? Since I don't know how to even begin fixing those errors.

Thanks in advance;

a good way is to take notes of the errors names and google one per time. that´s how i learned and still learn when i face something new.

Okay I've done it, and I managed to eliminate the errors, I only have warnings and remarks, not errors anymore, it is safe to compile it now?

Thanks in advance.

I need a diff patch from two DSDT.dsl files (attached) so I can use it with DSDT editor and patcher.

Only difference: one is patched with a (proven working) Nvidia GeForce graphics patch. I need a diff patch so I can apply the grfx dsdt patch to another dsdt of almost the same Laptop, also w/ that same GeForce Go. The grfx patched DSDT from the other Laptop works on Laptop 2, so I KNOW the patch in the DSDT works!

How now do I create the diff patch Nvidia GeForce Go 7600.txt?

Thank you

PS: I created a diff patch with Chameleon Wizard and applied it to my DSDT. Result: no change = bad

ah OK, I see, nice - that worked indeed, thank you for your very fast help & reply, artur-pt :)

I'd still be very interested in how to create a diff patch from the two dsl files. Do you happen to know how this is done?

(as a side note I still get a kernel panic stating the Nvidia GeForce 7xxx - I'll dmesg as soon as I'm back in 10.7.5)

Hello. I'm new to the hackintosh world and have been successful with installing OSX without messing around with DSDT but it seems it would make my life easier if I have a properly setup DSDT.

I guess my question is in regards to the screen with before and after when opening a patch. I suppose "before" is my "config" before the patch is applied. And "after" is what it will look like after applying the patch?

I'm only asking because I've opened 3 patches for my Gigabyte board and the before and after screens are identical!

thanks

I've found a bug in the program.

The search function is not working. When I press the button "Display find and replace dialog", it does nothing. Same thing with the keyboard shortcut.
