Hi all,

as this is my first post in Olarila.com I would like to say first a big hello to everyone.

I followed the guide and got Mojave installed, telemetry plugin changed, boot from SSD with LGA775 folder, masterhibernate and mater-disable command. This is my configuration:

- Asus P5Q pro turbo

- Intel Q9400

- MSI Nvidia gtx 780ti

- 16gb of ddr2 ram

The graphics card is fully recognized OOB (brand, GPU model and all 3gb of VRAM), but the system is very laggy. That's strange because for a moment is working perfectly after it gets stuck on the rainbow circle, then working again for a bit, then stuck again, etc etc. It is unusable like that. I did a lot of searches, tried many patches in clover configurator, tried to install High Sierra, tried another graphics card (Asus GTX 760), but the result is still the same: lags.

The zip file generated by "runme.app" is available at the following address:

http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=36269766214053671486

the file was generated on a clean installation (Olarila Mojave) as I said above before explaining the configuration. I didn't include the kext for LAN and Audio coming from my old Yosemite installation and perfectly working.

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Vince

Dear Maldon, many thanks for your quick support.

I've just tried your DSDT but no luck with the lag issue. I just noticed the system boot time is shorter than before (If I'm not wrong that's because you fixed some error into the original DSDT).

I can't really understand why I've got lags: what I suspect is the cpu not properly used by the system or the vram recognized but not fully working......but.....lilu and whatevergreen are in there, the lga clover folder is in there, the telemetry has been changed.......can't understand

Any idea? :help

Many thanksssssss!

Hi MaLd0n,

thanks for the trick. I removed AGPM from S/L/E, then rebuilt the kernel cache and rebooted. The system is slightly better but I still have lags :wallbash

In the meantime I tried to change also the smbios from imac10,1 to macpro3,1 (which is the one that I used to have in Yosemite for this machine), I can say as a macpro3,1 I have the feeling that the system is working better than imac10,1 but lags are still there.

Any thoughts? :?:

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply.

Mine is a Mobo Bios, I'll install clover according to your guide. Do I still have to copy the EFI folder to /Volumes/EFI before installing clover?

Thanks

Hi All, after weeks of trying every solution I have sorted out the problem: as I suspected the problem was the CPU. I've just installed Sierra and the computer is fast an performant out of the box. I have just two minor issues:

- the firewire port is recognizing the audio card only if I turn it on before starting macos (or if I reboot), before was not like that. However.......I've noticed the same issue in windows so the problem is probably a faulty firewire interface in my audio card

- I've got 2 usb expansion cards on the slots PCI, one is a USB 2.0, the other one is a 3.0. With Yosemite they where both working good, in Sierra they are working just with usb storage devices. Any other device is not recognized. The USB ports on the mainboard are working perfectly. I have increased the USB limit and tried the USBinjectall.kext but they still are not working. Am I missing some step?

Thanks all!

hello MaLdOn,

i have this config:

MB intel DG41RQ with last bios

CPU intel Xeon E5450. 4x3ghz

2 x 2gb DDR2 800mhz

Radeon HD6670 1gb DDR5

I installed high sierra and upgraded to 17G10021 without having put the HD6670 card.
the problem comes when i want to install the HD 6670 card, the pc hangs no way to pass.
if I start a new installation with the HD6670, it blocks directly.
I tried a DSDT that you made on the forum for another person, but that did not change anything.

my config, plist  : smbios imac 10.2 or imac 14.2 no change

can you help me for this problem ?  best regard Phil
