Hi it's an Intel 370M with a Chinese pcwinmax board from AliExpress so am using a laptop processor on a desktop

Please any help? All USB just stop working after the apple logo and I can't proceed to installation.

Hi the keyboard doesn't work at that screen only mouse works.

Using a generic 775 board (china-made) with somewhat faulty USB ports,

Created bootable HDD SATA and booted from it to install onto other SATA disk.

Was getting stuck at VoodooTCSSync kernel panic but then put 775 Clover folder in using Linux machine and deleted VoodooTSCSync kext.

Now I am getting stuck at vm_swap_create_file failed @ 504 seconds

Verbose shows no other errors. Installing latest Catalina available on forum.

Setup: 925GM Chipset Board, RTL8111, E7400 Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram (two sticks), 250GB SATA (for OS) and 500GB SATA(spare) for installer, ASUS NVIDIA 210.

AHCI in BIOS, USB Controller disabled otherwise doesnt boot, using PS2 KB and Mouse. ACPI v3 (?)

This is High Sierra from USB. USB on my board only works in legacy, USB2.0 is faulty.

I have installed Olarila but when I remove the verbose mode from config it still appears in the clover boot screen in args anyway of removing that ?

Clover worked good for my Xeon E5440 on hp dx2810 with HS and Catalina, but it stuck on grey screen with frozen mouse when I tried Big Sur beta Installer.

I managed a Opencore BIOS USB which worked for HS and Catalina, but stuck at [EB][EXITBS] for Big Sur beta Installer with im144 and mp61 while it can deny im142 and mp31....

GPU is Nvidia GT610

Motherboard Gigabyte G41 

6gb RAM DDR3

I am getting a red screen with X64 type execution error at the top

Hi I downloaded the updated folder from the downloads section same result my processor does not have SSE4.2 will I still be able to install Catalina or high Sieraa any one of them

I have an Intel 975xBX2 motherboard with a Xeon X5690 cpu.

This CPU was the top one for this board at the time.

What can I upgrade this system to?

I heard you cannot go past mojave or el capitan?

Can you upgrade this to Catalina or Big Sur?

Can LGA 775 use OpenCore is there a guide for these desktops? Sorry never mind I see both Clover and Opencore EFI.  Actually after looking it over I don't think opencore is for LGA 775 only Clover.  There is no current opencore guide for LGA 775?

u just need a legacy things. check opencore manual. i dont have any lga775 for now for test

I read this over and looked at the comparison of Clover versus OpenCore and Opencore does not support P states and C states so unless there is some elaborate way of creating a patch in the kernel section of Opencore or some SSDT which I don't think so then only Clover will work on Legacy Bios Devices.  A google search shows no find for LGA 775 or specific older legacy motherboards with Opencore guides.

I will stay with Clover for Legacy but the latest Clover after version r5126 or 5130 no longer uses older memory managers but I guess only concerned for UEFI but still uses OpenRunTime.efi do you have the latest clover.config configured for the later versions of clover or is Quirks settings just not needed for LGA 775?

I also have a library of all your fantastic DSDT work from insanely many many years ago, are they still good as they are today for MacOS Catalina or need new patching or less patching, yes?  I think I have all patches you made many years ago for almost all legacy Motherboards using MacIASL to load them these patches should still be good yes?  Did you add anything new or remove anything old not needed?  Thanks!

hi greetings i have asus motherboard asus p5ql-m epu / cm5671 / dp_mb 8gb ram, xeon e5450 mod, dell amd r5 340x. I managed to install higth sierra but when I put the EFI socket 775 folder and install clover efi bootloader, it does not start, with the usb itself it starts. gives a virtualsmc 128mb error. some efi folder for this motherboard is doing something wrong. sorry for the google translator.
