AirPlay and Handoff Issues After NVRAM Reset (i5-6500, HD 530, BCM94360CS2)

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking some help with a strange issue I'm having after resetting my NVRAM.

I have successfully installed macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 (24G90) on the following hardware:

 

• CPU: Intel i5-6500

• GPU: Intel HD Graphics 530 (with graphic acceleration working)

• Motherboard: Some cheap H110 mobo.

• Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Card: BCM94360CS2

My Problem

 

Initially, after a fresh install and post-installation setup, everything was working perfectly. I had AirPlay and Handoff(tested with Safari and clipboard), and both iMessage and FaceTime were stable and fully functional. My iCloud account was also fine.

However, after I performed an NVRAM reset, things changed. Now:

• Handoff is inconsistent. It works sometimes but fails most of the time (tested with Safari and clipboard).

• AirPlay is completely broken and doesn't work at all.

• iMessage and FaceTime are now constantly force-logging me out.

What I Have Tried

 

So far, I have tried the following steps to troubleshoot:

• Checked my SMBIOS (iMac 19,1) to ensure it's still configured correctly.

• Verified that my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cards are still being recognized.

• I have verified that the ROM matches the MAC address of my Broadcom Wi-Fi card.

• I have tried logging out and logging back into iMessage and FaceTime.

• I have cleaned the cache and keychain before logging back in.

I'm not sure what caused this sudden change after the NVRAM reset. Was there a crucial setting that got erased? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, yes, thank you so much! I applied those patches to my NVRAM, and now AirPlay and Handoff are working perfectly. Your help is greatly appreciated!

I have one more question, if you don't mind. I've been struggling to get iMessage and FaceTime to work on this Sequoia build. They keep force-logging me out. In the past, I had them working on Ventura using the ROM from my RTL8100 Ethernet MAC address.

Is getting iMessage and FaceTime to work on Sequoia typically more difficult, or am I just having bad luck? I've already tried clearing the cache and keychain and signing in and out, but the problem persists.

Could the hardware itself be a factor? Here are my config details:

• My HD 530 is spoofed to an Intel(R) Iris(TM) Plus Graphics 640.

• My chosen SMBIOS is an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019), which should use an RX 580 dedicated GPU.

• I am using a valid serial number that shows "Purchase date unavailable".

I'm starting to wonder if this hardware and SMBIOS mismatch could be the root cause of my issues, especially with iMessage and FaceTime. Is this something I should be concerned about?
