hackintosh Kernel Panic After Restart/Shutdown

Hello,

After an upgrade to macOS Tahoe, I able unable to restart or shutdown my Hackintosh normally. Whenever I do, it freezes my Hackintosh. In order to restart or shutdown, I have to press and hold my power button.

 

Device Specs:

CPU: 1.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

GPU: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB

RAM: 16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X

Laptop: Microsoft Surface Pro 7

Wifi/BT Card: Intel Wifi & Intel Bluetooth

Touchpad/Keyboard: Microsoft Surface Pro Keyboard

Update kexts and bootloader to last

I already updated all my kexts. I don't know what you mean by 'bootloader to last'.

If you mean OpenCore by bootloader then yes, I updated my OC to the latest version.

If you using other OpenCore version like OpenCore_NO_ACPI or need to use Opencore DEV follow instructions bellow.

a) Select OpenCore DEV on menu EDIT

 

b) Select DEV Source on Kexts, select OpenCore version, Get OpenCore, Start Sync and Save

As it turns out, the issue was caused by a race condition in the BigSurface kext.
There is a GitHub issue relating to this in the BigSurface repo: https://github.com/Xiashangning/BigSurface/issues/142
