Hello people,

first a big thank to the community here to provide the "EFI.OpenCore.Alder.Raptor.Lake". I have it now running in my Hacky. I'm a beginner in Hackitosh.

1. I want to ask if it is possible to activate Bluetooth on the ASUS Z790 PLUS WIFI? The profiler shows the card as: Intel Corp. AX211 Bluetooth. I don't need WIFI but I really need Bluetooth because I sit far from display. (BT_Keyboard)

2. Second I want to ask... is it painless to update the macOS from 12.7.4 to 12.7.6 or doesn't it start after anymore?

Works like a charm! On the first try. Thank you also for the warning about ToniMac in the Rules section because this was the first site I knew about Hackintosh.

Nice to meet you. I will be around.

Today I installed Catalina due to a incompability of one of my older 3D Programms with Monterey. But in Catalina the Graphic card isn't recognised (Radeon 6600). Under "This Mac" it says "Display 31 MB" I try to find out how to set the path to ACPI. I can't find how to do that due I have only MacOS at my home. Or is the issue not related to the graphic cards path? I see also in the "System Preferences>Monitor" that there are only two entries for resolution: 3840x2160 and 1920x1080 both don't fit my display. The machine runs as MacPro7,1 What can I do?

PS: One more clue is that "System Preferences>Sound" doesn't show anything for output.

I see... the RX 6600 is not implemented in 10.15. Ok, I can go with Monterey. Thanks you very much, I really owe you. Without y😸ur help it would be nearly impossible for me.

Now I try to solve one of the last provlems. The Systemprofiler says:

AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT:

Chipsatz-Modell:    AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
  Typ:    GPU
  Bus:    PCIe
  PCIe-Lane-Breite:    x16
  VRAM (gesamt):    8 GB
  Hersteller:    AMD (0x1002)
  Geräte-ID:    0x73ff
  Versions-ID:    0x00c1
  ROM-Version:    113-EXT800288-L04
Metal-Familie:    Unterstützt, Metal GPUFamily macOS 2

But I can't select that card in Blender:

PS: I got it... needs Apple Silicon

Problem solved.

For AMD on x86 one need Blender from the 3 Series

If I look my "About this Mac" window I see "Processor 3 GHz Intel® Core™" but it is a i9-13900KF with 5.6 GHz Processor. Is the remark there not representative or does it really only run on 3GHz?

I think I do not overclock my CPU due degeneration issue of over-voltage. Keep my CPU healthy is more important. Maybe boost it to 4.2 or 4.6 GHz? Is that possible?

I think I better don't do that because I don't really understand what I'm doing there. It says: "Overvoltage the SoC causes instability on Gen. 4 devices."

"Overvoltage" and "Instability" sounds scary. 🤢

Use xmp and u don't need overclock. High memory clocks its a good solution with no problems.

3ghz its a stock clock processor. 5.6ghz its a turbo boost clock.

I try to solve now one of the last problems.

When I switch off the monitor (HDMI Samsung TV) and switch it on again an hour later, the driver for the monitors audio is not present anymore, and no audio is playing. Its only if I switch off the TV for a long time. If I only switch it off for a minute it still works.

I tried to force quit coreaudiod and audiocomponentregister but no success. I need to restart the computer to get audio back. There must be a trick to tell the system to refresh the audio driver list.

Summary:

HDMI Audio out from Radeon 6600. After startup, it works. After switching monitor off and later on again, audio doesn't work anymore. In the Sound Preferences the Audio driver for the monitor isn't present anymore. What can I do?
