George Hall Posted February 17, 2025 Posted February 17, 2025 Hi there Im trying to install/upgrade to macOS Sequoia on my Dell Latitude 5480 with a i5-7200U. I have 2 instances of Ventura full working and installed on the laptop however when make a usb installer (balena etcher, and then copying the EFI over, as seen on @teema.everythingtech) I get errors after selecting the macOS installer. I know that the EFI works and I have tried setting the SMBIOS from MacBookPro14,1 to MacBookPro15,2 and still have problems. I tried with the installer twice, the first time then reset NVRAM and then again. On the second there was an error about CPU which makes me think it is somthing to do with the fact that Sequoia has officially dropped support for Kaby Lake. If anyone could help or at least point me in the right direction it would really help. I will attach the files to the post (I have placed the files/logs inside the .zip labeled as Error Files), thanks in advance. I have just realised there is a file size limit here is a google drive link instead
