minhackintosh Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Hallo forum, I recently installed again Monterey on my spare PC motherboard which seems to be a Z270 mini itx/AC, with a CPU i3 probably Kaby Lake that for some reason was an old ES Engineering Sample. This blocks Geekbencks from showing the results but it's notthe point of this post. Thanks to the Olarilla EFI folder, I created a good Monterey USB installer and it installed the OS until getting also the same folder on the booting disk. Doing the post install, I noticed 2 issues: - one is the audio partially working. On Browsers and Final cut not working, but only the systems beep and alert sounds do works. Never seen this case. - for some reason, in the Options, the Security and Privacy page isn't showing. There's a delay, a loading but then a message says "Preferences Error / Could not load... panel." I am asking here because I am stuck on using the Olarilla Audio tools/app I found searching, because the OS is blocking the apps, and I can't reach the Security setting. Thanks in advance!

minhackintosh Posted October 31, 2024 Author Posted October 31, 2024 Hallo, thanks. In the while I tried a Sequoia update from the OS and it worked ok, also solving the error I had on the "Security and Privacy" page. Also the audio over HDMI is back! I will perform the above AppleAlc solutions to know more...
