BongoCat307 Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Hi, I would like to ask how to install Olarila raw with opencore, I tried to install it with Balena etcher but my USB put it in gpt and I want it in mbr since my laptop does not support UEFI. I tried transmac and win32diskimager and it gave me the same result. Do you know if there is any way to install it in mbr or at least not convert it to gpt? PD: I'm a newbie at this so I don't know much about the subject. Laptop: Toshiba Satellite l655 s5150 RAM: DDR3 4GB DISK: Hitachi HDD CPU: Intel Pentium P6200 GPU: Intel HD Graphics for Pentiums
Administrators MaLd0n Posted September 17, 2024 Administrators Posted September 17, 2024 U dont need MBR in legacy. Just use GUID and APFS or HFS(Old systems) 1 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
BongoCat307 Posted September 17, 2024 Author Posted September 17, 2024 Do you mean that my PC reads the USB regardless of whether it is in gpt? If so, thank you very much.
Administrators MaLd0n Posted September 17, 2024 Administrators Posted September 17, 2024 Yes. Just use DUET https://olarila.com/topic/40933-how-to-install-opencore-duet-in-a-legacy-system/ 1 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
BongoCat307 Posted September 17, 2024 Author Posted September 17, 2024 I saw that duet runs in the macOS terminal, but I am using Windows, and I don't have any Mac nearby, is there a method to do it?
