Can't boot USB to VirtualBox

Hey

I downloaded the .raw file, written it with Win32DiskImager, and also with ImageUSB, now the problem is that i can't see it in VirtualBox can i somehow convert it to ISO or any help so i can boot it in VirtualBox?

I skipped the conversion to physical USB entirely, and simply mounted the raw file directly from VirtualBox, as per instructions here:

I confirm that I managed to mount the vmdk pointing to the .raw file and start up the OSX VM, and am continuing installation now.
