-Format EFI partition on macOS

 

1- Check correct disk identifier with diskutil list on terminal. In this case is disk1s1.

 

2- Use disk identifier with sudo newfs_msdos -v EFI -F 32 /dev/disk1s1 

 

3- Mount EFI partition with sudo mkdir /Volumes/EFI and sudo mount_msdos /dev/disk1s1 /Volumes/EFI and done.

 

-Format EFI partition on Windows

 

1- Download DiskGenius HERE

 

2- With right mouse button on ESP/EFI partition use Format Partition. File System is FAT32 and Volume Label is EFI.
