mekk21 Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 (edited) Resolved with DP4. Boots to desktop. Not a config.plist issue. Strange problem. EFI boots Catalina through Sonoma without issues. Sequoia beta hangs after password entered at login screen after upgrade/install from Sonoma. Attempt to clean install and hangs after choose country or region. In both cases get the little spinner and then hang, using both clover 5159 and opencore 101. DP1 and DP2 both cause the hang on clean install. Anyone complete skylake laptop install willing to post EFI or offer fix for this?opencore101_config.plist.7zclover5159_config.plist.7z Edited July 26, 2024 by mekk21

There is nothing unusual with efi/kexts except that clover boots with FakeSMC and OC booted with VirtualSMC until changed to FakeSMC. Kernel boot args apparently have to have cpus=1 or no boot. Ever since Ventura beta 3 could not use SMCProcessor without KP. You can modify this EFI for your machine if you have an HP250G5 https://github.com/Lost-Entrepreneur439/hp-elitebook-840-g3-hackintosh
