jotaperez Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 Hi. I have a problem that appeared after some Sonoma update. Specifically, after a while of the equipment being on but without activity, I notice that when I return to work with the equipment, the YouTube videos play intermittently, the video is intermittent but the sound continues. At first I thought it was a browser problem but it happens to me in all browsers. Then I started to notice that it also happened with the keyboard and mouse that respond with a delay. I thought the problem was related to the screen automatically turning off after a few minutes, but now I have it configured so that it does not turn off and despite this the problem persists. The only solution is a reboot.I have the version of Sonoma 14.4 with Opencore 0.9.9. My Smbios is iMac20.,1 because I have "headless" mode set since my CPU is an I7-10700K and I have a Shapphire RX570 video card.I will appreciate any help.Greetings!

jotaperez Posted April 2, 2024 Author Posted April 2, 2024 Thanks @MaLd0n for your response. One question: Should I just change the smbios model and add the boot argument it tells me to my config.plist file? I ask you because in "DeviceProperties" I have the following configuration: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) AAPL,ig-platform-id = 0300C89B And this configuration is for CPUs that have iGPU (used for encoding/decoding without connection to monitor) and that also have dGPU with connection to monitor. Thanks since now!

jotaperez Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 (edited) Thanks @MaLd0n I was testing the equipment with your EFI folder for CometLake, with iMacPro1,1 switches and it works perfectly, without lags or stutters. What I want to ask you (more than anything to know and learn a little more) is why you always recommend iMacPro1,1 smbios for computers with igpu and dgpu instead of the ones that are supposed to go because they are more in line with the hardware of the computer ( iMac19.1, 19.2, 20.1 or 20.2). Thank you in advance Edited May 17, 2024 by jotaperez
