Laptop stuck on Mac Support Screen

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So I wanted to install macOS Sonoma(?) on my HP EliteBook 840 G3. I got the 14.2.1 raw image as torrent, the Sha1’s matched. I Etchered it onto a Intenso 64 GB USB 2 AluLine Stick, replaced the original EFI files with the “official” MOD EFI files for Skylake as I have the i5-6300U variant and I managed to get to the menu offering windows, macOS and clear Nvme cache(?). I cleared the Nvme cache, it restarted, I wanted to go to macOS but I only got to a black screen showing a circle with a line in it (? just like this but in grey) and Apple.com/startup Secure boot ist disabled and I also tried with some other EFI files on Google Drive and I got the same problem. What should I do?
