jotaperez Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Hi, I'm telling you about a problem I'm having lately: since I installed Sonoma cleanly on an nvme I'm having problems when I start the system with a 2 TB Toshiba HDD formatted in exfat that I use for data. This disk takes a while to mount... I have to wait about 15 minutes until it finally mounts itself and shows its folders and partitions in the Finder. I have this disk formatted in exFat because on the computer I have a second disk with a Ventura installation, a third disk with Windows 11 and a fourth disk with Linux Mint. All operating systems on separate disks. I use opencore 0.9.5 In Ventura I never had this problem, but since I installed Sonoma I have it in Ventura too. In Windows 11 and Linux Mint I have no problems and they recognize the disk perfectly. I don't know what it could be. Windows is configured at the Energy level so that it turns off the system, and so that Windows "releases" the disks and keeps them retained for us. SMART tests of the disk give it perfectly fine. I have run the Ventura disk manager (first aid) several times and nothing... I have an external USB drive also formatted in exFat that when I connect it, Mac OS recognizes it immediately, only this HDD gives me problems. I will appreciate any help you can guide me with.

jotaperez Posted November 7, 2023 Author Posted November 7, 2023 Hello MaLd0n. Thanks for your answer. The cable is new and the strange thing is that it is only taking time to assemble in Ventura and Sonoma... in both Windows 11 and Linux Mint it works perfectly. How could I see if there are disk errors on mac os? Thank you in advance!
