0xGIANT Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 (edited) As mentioned in the title I have a laptop Dell Latitude 7490 with Core i5 8250U, Kaby Lake R CPU, 16 GB ram, 512 GB Toshiba Nvme SSD, and I cant find the EFI for this specific cpu model on this website. The EFI available on this website is for Kaby Lake which I checked is a 7th gen cpu and I tried booting of of that and it didnt work. This particular cpu is 8th gen. I was trying to install Mac OS Monterey on my laptop but I failed. Can anyone here help me install monterey on my laptop. I would be very greatful for your help. Any useful insight would be appreciated. In the best case Scenario if someone would be kind enough, please share the efi for this model of the laptop if you already have one. It would be a great time saver for me cause I am not an experienced individual in installing Mac OS. I have attached a file in which I gave screenshots of the system, Please Help me!! Thankyou... Administrators MaLd0n Posted October 3, 2023 Administrators Posted October 3, 2023 Use efi folder from here https://www.olarila.com/topic/25111-hackintosh-efi-folders-with-opencore-mod/ and -Bios/UEFI in full default settings(Just change settings if need) -Use USB2 port for easy installation with no remap USB -Users with IGPU can use -igfxvesa bootarg for easy installation -Delete old EFI folder and paste new. Don't use merge files -Don't use Drag and Drop into EFI partition. Use Copy/Paste instead -Reset NVRAM one time - with OpenCore use entry "Reset Nvram" / with Clover use F11 key on boot screen -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Hackintosh Support since 2006 HERE
