imatikshaikh Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Hi, this is my first time working on a hackintosh setup, hell this is my first time using apple at all. So please forgive me for any silly mistakes and kindly help me out. PS: Staff if this is the wrong place to post this, kindly excuse me and let me know where I should post this. 1) I used the VENTURA Olarilaversion from here and created a bootable via etcher. 2) And then deleted the old EFI from the new bootable USB and copy/pasted the AlderLake EFI from here for my i7 12700 processor. 3) I booted into bios and selected the option for UEFI usb . It loaded the mac install screen. I first did the NVRAM Reset. 4) Then it restarted and now in the bios it showed OCxxx in the boot menu, and ofcourse I selected the same. 5) Now I again came to the mac install screen, and I selected install macintosh. 6) Selected disk utility, erased the SSD to AHCI mode and then started the installation in that SSD. 7) Completed the entire installation. And login, preferences etc. Now I am in the mac system. Everything works. ? So to keep the mac boot, I first went into the pendrive, and copied pasted the Open Configurator to desktop. 9) Then mounted the PD and the System Drive 10) Copied the OC folder from the PD EFI to the EFI folder in the System Drive. 11) Went into the Microsoft > Boot folder and renamed the bootmgfw.efi to some random name. 12) Ejected the USB and removed it from the hardware system Now when I try to boot into it, it directly boots to windows. And even if I go to boot options by hitting F12, I only see the windows bootloader. OC is gone. I'm sure I messed up, and I even read the tutorial, but I am genuinely and able to fix this. If I insert the pendrive again, it loads the OC and I can see the installed MAC version and can boot into it, use it and everything, but if I remove the Pd, its the same thing again. Please help me out guys. Kindly consider this being the first time. I am fine with doing the entire re-install process again.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I'm not sure what you mean by this. I apologize for my lack of knowledge. But I have recorded a video here. Could you let me know if I did it right, or if I made a mistake somewhere. Thank you so much again for the hardwork you are doing. Edit: I obviously did something wrong again. Because this didn't work either. PS. Do I need to do a NVMERESET again after doing this step when the PC boots again? Edited August 14, 2023 by imatikshaikh
