laudou Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Hi I have Ventura working perfectly on MSi-Z390 A Pro with alcid layout 7; all the audio ports are working fine. I installed Sonoma on a second SSD on the same computer but I cannot get any audio ports to work; the same alcid layout 7 used for Ventura gives no audio port working. I tested most layouts for ALC 892 and ALC897 with no luck. Has anyone been successful with Sonoma audio on the same motherboard? Thanks

laudou Posted July 30, 2023 Author Posted July 30, 2023 (edited) With Ventura, I used the codec for 897. MSN web site says 892 and 897 for this motherboard. How do I know which one I should use? Should I input the codec number somewhere? Where? Thanks Edited July 30, 2023 by laudou

laudou Posted July 31, 2023 Author Posted July 31, 2023 Hi I ran RunMe and it found no audio codec. I did a clean install of Sonoma and audio is working fine without having anything to do. Thanks

Only Up Game invites you to plunge headlong into its exhilarating gameplay, in which each leap takes you flying past a variety of imaginatively built obstacles that lie between you and the peak. The unrivaled sense of achievement that comes from climbing higher and higher despite the challenges presented by the game makes it one that compels players to keep coming back for more, ready to achieve even greater heights. To address your audio issues with "Sonoma," I recommend the following steps: Check for the Latest Audio Drivers: Ensure that you have installed the latest audio drivers for "Sonoma" on your second SSD. Visit the official website of the motherboard manufacturer or the audio chipset manufacturer to download and install the most up-to-date drivers. Verify Audio Settings: Double-check your audio settings within the operating system to ensure that the correct audio output is selected. Sometimes, an incorrect audio output might cause no sound to be heard even if the hardware is functioning correctly. Consider Audio Patches or Kexts: If "Sonoma" refers to a specific audio solution, there might be custom patches or kexts (kernel extensions) available online that can help enable audio functionality for it. Check relevant forums, communities, or websites for any specific patches or kexts related to "Sonoma" audio. Community Support: Look for forums or communities where other users with the same motherboard or audio configuration share their experiences and solutions. There might be users who have successfully configured "Sonoma" audio on the MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard and can offer insights or troubleshooting tips. Update Hackintosh Tools: If you are running a Hackintosh setup, make sure you have the latest versions of Hackintosh tools like Clover, OpenCore, or other bootloader configurations. Sometimes, updating these tools can resolve audio-related issues. Consider a Dedicated Sound Card: If all else fails, you might consider using a dedicated sound card compatible with macOS to ensure audio functionality. Edited August 1, 2023 by Ryan Gosling

Thanks best sex dolls Make sure that you have selected the correct codec in your configuration file. Sometimes, using a different layout ID may be necessary for different macOS versions, even if they share the same hardware. Reset the Audio Settings: In the Clover Configurator (or OpenCore), reset any audio settings to their defaults and then reapply your desired layout ID. Sometimes configurations can get corrupted.
