Pennywisdom65 Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 (edited) Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to disable the AOAC "feature" on laptops with a locked bios. I've tried the options of a patch and associated SSDT's to get deep idle working but it's not reliable at all. Here are my specs: Acer Swift 3 SF314-57 Intel® Core i7-1065g7 Intel® UHD Graphics 8 GB LPDDR4 I am assuming this is what is causing my issue as there is seems to sleep ok but hard lock as soon as it wakes and can't find anything in logs. This is the same as I see reported regarding AOAC but only workarounds that are unreliable (and I can't get to work at all on this machine). I've tried having someone create a custome bios but the machine has checksum protection for that as well. He says we can disable cfg lock for proper power management but not so sure that would fix this issue... https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDLaptops/comments/10ih90u/enable_s3_sleep_mode_on_lenovo_yoga_14_gen7_on/ I tried the steps at the above link to get S3 working in Windows with a DSDT patch, wonder if it's possible to do the same with Opencore? I tried making my own SSDT patch and seemed applied correctly but sleep was still not functioning. Does anyone have any experience with this? I would be happy to pay/donate as needed - Thanks! Also, I used the runme.app and this is the result: https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20230720rMt8MHQL Edited July 20, 2023 by Pennywisdom65

Pennywisdom65 Posted July 22, 2023 Author Posted July 22, 2023 Thank you - tried above steps but no change whatsoever. Everything has been very simple to get working on this laptop other than sleep! Are there any other suggestions? Perhaps this laptop won't be able to sleep without disabling modern standby? Unfortunately I can't with the way the bios is locked...
