Hi! I'm a hackintosh noob. I downloaded the bootable USB image of Mavericks (http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=3836) and used it to create a GPT partition scheme with one partition for OSX, one for Windows, and another (Windows) partition for shared data. Per instructions I found out on the web, I installed Windows first, to the 2nd partition. Then I inserted the thumb drive I created from the Mavericks image file and installed OSX. When the system rebooted, it went straight into Windows 7. No matter what I do (changes to boot priority in setup, different selections in boot menu at startup) it boots into Windows every time. How do I fix this? Doesn't OSX install a bootloader?

Doesn't OSX install a bootloader?

No, it does not. You have to install one, it's a step from the link you posted above

- Install boot loader to the HD.

If you use UEFI you can just copy Clover from the installer
