isitjake
Hi, I have a successful install of High Sierra 10.13.6 on my build with i5 8500, z390 I Aorus Pro Wifi, RX 5500 XT and 16GB DDR4 RAM, 2.5 SSD, no nvme. The only problem is there is no graphics acceleration. I tried switching the SMBIOS to iMac18,2 but that also has no graphics acceleration. I downloaded and ran the RunMe.app for ACPI solution, will this fix graphics acceleration? I am attaching the "Send Me" zip generated by RunMe.app, any help greatly appreciated @MaLd0n ??? File to large to be uploaded here, attaching here: https://easyupload.io/d6zu6k I made the USB using the Olarila Vanilla Image with balena etcher I have also removed -igfxvesa from bootargs and added agdpmod=pikera but no luck This is the output from GFXUtil: Last login: Tue Jan 10 14:18:23 on console Jakes-iMac:~ jake$ /Users/jake/Desktop/gfxutil-1.83b-RELEASE/gfxutil ; exit; 00:00.0 8086:3ec2 /PCI0@0/pci8086,3ec2@0 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) 00:01.0 8086:1901 /PCI0@0/PEG0@1 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0) 00:12.0 8086:a379 /PCI0@0/pci8086,a379@12 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x12,0x0) 00:14.0 8086:a36d /PCI0@0/XHC@14 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x14,0x0) 00:14.2 8086:a36f /PCI0@0/pci8086,a36f@14,2 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x14,0x2) 00:14.3 8086:a370 /PCI0@0/CNVW@14,3 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x14,0x3) 00:16.0 8086:a360 /PCI0@0/IMEI@16 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x16,0x0) 00:17.0 8086:a352 /PCI0@0/SAT0@17 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x17,0x0) 01:00.0 1002:1478 /PCI0@0/PEG0@1/PEGP@0 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) 00:1b.0 8086:a340 /PCI0@0/RP17@1B = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1B,0x0) 00:1c.0 8086:a338 /PCI0@0/RP01@1C = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1C,0x0) 00:1d.0 8086:a330 /PCI0@0/RP09@1D = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1D,0x0) 00:1f.0 8086:a305 /PCI0@0/LPCB@1F = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x0) 00:1f.3 8086:a348 /PCI0@0/HDEF@1F,3 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x3) 00:1f.4 8086:a323 /PCI0@0/SBUS@1F,4 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x4) 00:1f.5 8086:a324 /PCI0@0/pci8086,a324@1F,5 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x5) 00:1f.6 8086:15bc /PCI0@0/GLAN@1F,6 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x6) 02:00.0 1002:1479 /PCI0@0/PEG0@1/PEGP@0/pci-bridge@0 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) 03:00.0 1002:7340 /PCI0@0/PEG0@1/PEGP@0/pci-bridge@0/GFX0@0 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) 03:00.1 1002:ab38 /PCI0@0/PEG0@1/PEGP@0/pci-bridge@0/HDAU@0,1 = PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x1) logout Saving session... ...copying shared history... ...saving history...truncating history files... ...completed. Tried adding https://www.tonymacx86.com/attachments/ssdt-rx-5500-xt-version-1-0-aml.464784/ DSDT along with DAGPM.kext and the rename Patch "find: 50454750 replace : 45475030 comment: replace : 45475030 ---- " but still no acceleration. What could I be missing? Here is my current config Config.zip

Just tried running the Olarila Catalina Installer but I get the restricted/prohibited error with iMacPro1,1 before reaching installer ? I tried USB 2.0 and 3.0 Tried adding my USBPort map kext and removing xhciportlimit + usbinjectall but this had no effect Edited January 11, 2023 by isitjake
Administrators MaLd0n Posted January 11, 2023 Administrators Share Posted January 11, 2023 -Bios/UEFI in full default settings(Just change settings if need) -Use USB2 port for easy installation with no remap USB -Users with IGPU can use -igfxvesa bootarg for easy installation -Delete old EFI folder and paste new. Don't use merge files -Don't use Drag and Drop into EFI partition. Use Copy/Paste instead -Reset NVRAM one time - with OpenCore use entry "Reset Nvram" / with Clover use F11 key on boot screen -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

Install worked with High Sierra but no acceleration. I am going to try Big Sur and Monterey today... My specs are all compatible so I'm not sure what's wrong @MaLd0n

When that didn't work and I got the prohibited error I then added usbmap kext but still no luck.
isitjake
@MaLd0n I figured out the reason I don't have acceleration with RX 5500 XT in high sierra is because it's a Navi card which is unsupported for high sierra. I have ordered a GTX 760 so I will only need shikigva=40 + whatevergreen and lilu for acceleration Just leaving this here for whoever else runs into this issue. The big sur image gives me issues with install so I will try to update from High Sierra once I get the gpu in the mail. ?
