Kirkis Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Hi everyone. Normally I don't post anything cause I'm not a talkative person by nature. and I struggle with what what is acceptable for normal Social interaction but I am in need of a little guidance. This is my first time building a hackintosh, I'm currently using my Dell Latitude e7270 as my learner I have successfully installed OSX Monterey 12.6.2, it boots on its own now. (deleted windows all together and installed OSX and will use bootcamp to get windows back on). I was reading that Custom SSDT files were the best to use so I started following Dortania's ACPI Guide on how to manually make SSDTs. so far creating my SSDT-PNLF, SSDT-PLUG, and SSDT-EC-USBX wasn't bad and straight forward. but making the SSDT-GPI0 to correct my touchpad and touchscreen im not really following and understand what's being said. before there screenshots to some what match up with what I was looking for and what sections to take to add to my custom SSDT. with the GPI0 there isn't. what screenshots are available its not clear if that's what i'm supposed to have in the .DSL file or what. any advice would be appreciated beyond belief. (PS I really have no experience with any type of coding especially machine language. lol but as long as things are explained in the right way for me I pick it up fast.). I would appreciate any guidance and or assistance on this. I am by far no where near any good at this sort of thing but I am enjoying it. I will attach a copy of my OpenCore EFI to show the kexts and such I used to get to boot with (I'll take out the UUID, Serial, system blah blah blah stuff so there's none of that floating around. (I still can't seem to get my Wifi working on this. Everything works but Audio: Realtek 293 (but I think I messed up in the config.plist for that) Touchscreen: (wont work until I get SSDT-GPI0 working Voodoolc2 has apparently the capability of getting it to work but IORegistryExplorer doesn't show GPI0VoodooI2C in it. Wifi: Wireless 8260. (No idea what I did wrong with this) Bluetooth: Intel Bluetooth. (same as Wifi No clue what I did) Attached below will be my EFI Folder, DSDT, SSDT's that I created. (these are all first attempts just an FYI) Sorry that its not directly attached to the message. it said my file was too big lol... I zipped up everything into 1 file https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mrglz7V7CRdZxUYXnivYADcuQNyL118T/view?usp=share_link

Kirkis Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 Yes. Olaria EFI files are nice and they do help somewhat get booted up but the Skylake EFI folder does not allow for my touch screen to work. Also, im manually doing this to learn something new.
