oldnapalm Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 You can do it, it's a simple text edit, just replace the text in red by the text in red from iMac12,2 DSDT. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

Mephistopelus Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Could you guys help me enable sleep on Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R (Lion)? Sleepenablers are causing kernel panics:(
Cassio Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Are you using the patch in first post? Just remove NullCPUPowerManagement and SleepEnabler and enable GeneratePStates and GenerateCStates in Chameleon. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
Mephistopelus Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Are you using the patch in first post? Just remove NullCPUPowerManagement and SleepEnabler and enable GeneratePStates and GenerateCStates in Chameleon. If your're talking to me, could you please provide more detailed instructions? I am, (as my badge's saying here) – "Noob" in such a deep configuration:) P.S. I am using patch from the extinct site from July 2011. Are you saying that patch from the first post will enable sleep?
Cassio Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I believe the patch in first post is the same, no improvements, so you just need to enable generate P and C states and remove the kexts. You can use this to configure Chameleon http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=257464 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

Mephistopelus Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 One last question: are you 100% sure, that removing "NullCPUPowerManagement.kext" won't crash my system?
Cassio Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 No, if you don't have the LPC and HPET patches in DSDT and don't enable generate states in Chameleon it will probably crash. Have a working boot CD just in case. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

mipao Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 What problem did you have? Give more details. I've upgraded to SL lion still have problems of instability, while working ognitanto panics and goes into panic at startup. I would like to do a clean install of LION DSDT but I would have at least that's fine delivery with a certainty. thanks for your answer
Cassio Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 The patch GA EP31-DS3L is available in first post, apply it using DSDT Editor.

Cassio Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 They are almost identical, I think the same patch will work. bsides Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hi guys, I have a Asus G53SX Notebook and I couldnt find a DSDT patcher for it. It's really similar to the one here called G53SW except it has a geforce gtx 560m 2gb instead of 460m... would it work for me? Could I change that info there? Or should I request a new DSDT? Thanks!!!
Cassio Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 You can open the G53SW patch with a text editor, try to identify each patch (compare with individual patches, see link in first post), understand what they do, try to apply them to your DSDT and test. Once you are satisfied with the results you can submit the new patch to this topic. Usually if the chipset is the same, you can use the same patch without (or with minor) changes.

Is there a way someone could do that for me? DSDT gives me the creeps. I will try to patch my DSDT extrated in Windows with the G53SW though. Thanks DSDT_WINDOWS_G53SX.zip
Cassio Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I don't use to do other people's work, but if you wanna learn how to do it yourself I can try to help. You can try to contact MaLd0n, but I don't know if he's still patching DSDTs.
