icecold Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) I had a perfectly functional Hackintosh, both in Yosemite and Sierra. I had to move and my boot olaralila USB drive broke, so I made a new one, but there's something missing because now I lost my sound configuration. Everything was working fine before, but now nothing, sound is ghosted except for my Plantronics USB headset. So I followed all instructions to reconfigure it, I'm using AppleALC, and boot options alcid=5, because that is the format that supports a basic light blue green pink layout. I read the info.plist file and it shows 5 is the right configuration. The problem is I'm missing something, because when I open the system report, Intel High Definition Audio, is showing ID 0. and not mapping anything as it used to be before the accident. I barely remember what I did before to fix it, but it had to do with some tables on boot. I tried to open config.plist with Clover, but have a permissions error trying to fix it, so I hard coded the alcid=5 on Clover Options, on the Boot Screen. Any ideas? icecold Posted September 7, 2022 Author Posted September 7, 2022 It was working before but I fixed this long time ago so I can't remember exactly what I did, but apparently it was done in the USB drive's UEFI. Because otherwise this fresh copy of SIerra I downloaded from your site should work. Where should I look? What directories?
