Help with Dell Desktop Inspiron 3471

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I tried to install to my PC and it seems to get stuck at some point, it tries to launch the install after checking dmg etc - I can provide a photo if that helps maybe?

My hardware is

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400 CPU

Chipset: Intel B365 (Kaby Lake)

GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 (Coffee Lake-S GT2) [DELL]

Secure boot and Hypervisor (HVCI) disabled

I connect to my monitor via HDMI not sure if that causes issues either.

Thanks for the help and I hope we can get the Monterey installed : )

-Use USB2 port for easy installation with no remap USB
-Users with IGPU can use -igfxvesa bootarg for easy installation
-Delete old EFI folder and paste new. Don't use merge files
-Don't use Drag and Drop into EFI partition. Use Copy/Paste instead
-Reset NVRAM one time - with OpenCore use entry "Reset Nvram" / with Clover use F11 key on boot screen

Let me try that and get back to you.

Tried via the USB 2 but no changes really - still gets stuck

Can someone advise how to boot with -igfxvesa not sure where to add that option in, should I try to put that into the config.plist?

Any idea if the Wifi can work on the Atheros 9565 on Monterey? I tried the kexts mentioned here but nothing seems to work.

Should I just buy an external card?
