actually i already got rid of using usb everytime. i did this by

1. Installing latest clover

2. mounted EFI folders of hard disk and usb from terminal on desktop.

3. Copied EFI from USB to Hard disk.......reboot..

4. Booted from clover of hard disk.

Then I didnt need to boot from USB.

Now the problem is cpus=1.. is the solution mentioned above is for both issues or just for cpus=1??

I appreciate your assistance.

http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/KernelAndKextPatches#KernelLapic

HP notebooks have lapic problems, which can be solved by using the boot parameter cpus=1 or by using this option.

Insert it in your config.plist

	<key>KernelAndKextPatches</key>
<dict>
	<key>KernelLapic</key>
	<true/>
</dict>

If you don't take the time to read the documentation you will never get things working properly.

3. Copied EFI from USB to Hard disk.......reboot..

If you did that, you already have it, just need to edit.

It must be Mac Os Extended (Journaled)

You need at least one free partition, use Disk Utility (in the Utilities menu) to erase it as Mac Os Extended (Journaled).

Hello. I somewhat successfully installed Mavericks, but I can't boot from HDD. I get the boot0 error. I used the .raw file to do a clean install and used multi b**** post install. I am open to Clover, I just didn't know what the difference was. I am a noob, so please don't assume I've already tried something or done something a certain way. I will appreciate all suggestions. Ultimate question is: How can I get past the boot0 error to boot Mavericks from HDD without USB stick?

Oh and my system looks like:

Z77-DS3H (Rev 1.1, BIOS version F8)

i5 3570K

Seagate Barracuda HDD

Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM

Radeon HD 7750 GPU

Thank you so much!
