gkhn Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I have successfully installed maverics on my dell inspiron 1500. But when i restarted the system after finalising the installation, this is the screen i am getting. http://imgur.com/YyAjDrT What do you think is the problem? Thank you.
geecko Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) The Intel are the ones you should move (do not delete as you will need them later). If keyboard doesn't work you can move them using TransMac from a Windows machine. I don't have windows on this machine, only Archlinux. Therefore I can't use TransMac and there doesn't seem to be an equivalent. If I move the kext s (and remove the kernel cache) from the usb stick and then make a new install, will the newly installed OSX be affected as intended ? EDIT : Alright, just tried it. removing the kexts from the usb stick doesn't prevent them from being installed. So I can't use Transmac or use my keyboard easily. Any other tip ? :/ Apparently it's because of clover. Is it possible to boot the USB stick via chameleon instead of clover ? EDIT2: Alright, it took me a long hour but I managed to move the kexts and remove the cache with this buggy keyboard. I will now try to install Chameleon, I hope it will fix my issue. I can boot hackintosh but everything is super sped up. Edited March 8, 2014 by Guest
pernacabeluda Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Linux can read and write HFS+ partitions if you have hfsprogs installed. Anyway it doesn't have to be the same machine, it's an USB stick. You can boot Chameleon by pressing 1, check the opening post. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

gkhn Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Probably a video issue, try disabling graphics injection or move graphics kexts http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1677 I just disabled the graphics injection when booting up but the result is the same. Should I try reinstalling it without graphic injection? Thank you. EDIT: It looks like it is related to bluetooth card. I am not sure. I ran it using single user and used the code below fsck -fy mount -uw / mkdir /kext_backup cd /System/Library/Extensions mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* AppleIntelFramebuffer* AMDRadeon* ATI* GeForce* NVDA* /kext_backup rm ../Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache reboot Another edit: It stucks at resetting IOcatalogue
m.gbt Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Your problem is video, bluetooth doesn't hang the system, it's just the last message usually shown before loading the graphics. Intel HD 4400 needs some special settings, you will need that if you want QE/CI It should have worked after removing the kexts, but you can also try the boot flags -v -x -f Mavericks 10.9.2 Retail When you ask for support, remember to tell the bootloader you use

Didnt recognise the wifi and when I move the safari, it flashes. Not a big deal but just wanted to mention it. Other apps like notes do not flash when I move it
m.gbt Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 About the flashing, you will experience a lot of graphical problems because -x is safe mode, it doesn't load graphical kexts. You will have to search for how to set up Intel HD 4400 so that you can use its full power and boot fine without -x Mavericks 10.9.2 Retail When you ask for support, remember to tell the bootloader you use
julyaann Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Hi all, first thank the support and shared information. Well, a week ago I purchased a brand new surface pro 2 and the first thing I wanted to do is set you mavericks OS X, but after 8-10 attempts always stays on the screen attached to the post ... What am I doing wrong? Any idea? Thank you very much and good hack
pernacabeluda Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Try boot arg dart=0 or configure Clover to drop DMAR table http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=3883 -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
julyaann Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Thks pernacabeluda (in spanish is "piernapeluda"... ) but Im a very very noob & dont know how to make your advise... If you have a tutorial of hackintosx, I would be be you eternally grateful
pernacabeluda Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 If you are using Clover, go into options menu and add "dart=0" in "boot args". If you are using Chameleon, just type "dart=0" and press enter. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE

julyaann Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I had no luck. The installation was successfully but when reboot (with USB) from the partition with the OS X, the surface is stuck on a white screen with the apple in the middle ... I waited 30 minutes but no progress.I tried 5 times but not anything beyond this screen Any solution ... Thanks for your support and help, without you this would be impossible
pernacabeluda Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 It makes no sense to me because -v (verbose) is a default boot argument in this installer, you should see no apple on white screen, but a lot of white text on black screen. -Guides and Tutorials HERE -Hackintosh Tutorial Database - HERE -The largest EFI folder collection for Hackintosh HERE -Support Olarila Vanilla Hackintosh by making a donation HERE -Professional Consulting for macOS Hackintosh since 2006 HERE
julyaann Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Hi pernacabeluda, there are two cases: 1. dart=0 ---> stuck on white screen with apple in center 1. -v -------> stuck on black screen with a lot of text I attach a picture
